These teams square off in Week 8 with first place in the division on the line. Atlanta comes in more healthy compared to Tampa Bay, but we see this matchup being a dogfight. 

This game will ultimately come down to quarterback play and who can take care of the ball and Mayfield, an MVP candidate, has an advantage over Kirk Cousins. 

Cousins has posted an impressive 2024 campaign throwing for 1,830 yards which is the fourth most in the league. He has thrown for ten touchdowns, but he has seven interceptions as well. 

Wide receivers London and Mooney have been very good for this Falcons team, but they might have a rough day on Sunday. 

We think Tampa Bay will have a different gameplan on Sunday compared to normal weeks, and for a good reason. Without the wide receiver weapons we think the Buccaneers will establish the run early with a three running back committee. 

Atlanta has no clue how to prepare for the Buccaneers this week as they change their offensive philosophy. Mayfield will get opportunities to make plays down the field if they establish the run early, and we think he will lead his team to a victory in the end. 

Wide receiver Sterling Shepard is a great deep threat to focus on for Mayfield this week and we think he will have a break-out game. Atlanta gives up a ton of points and we expect Mayfield and the rest of the offense to take advantage of this flaw.
