Eagles vs. Steelers Predictions

The Philadelphia Eagles’ passing game has been a mess lately. Jalen Hurts finished with just 38 net passing yards last week after posting just 112 the week before. Saquon Barkley and the run game have made up for those struggles, but they’ll face their toughest test against the Steelers on Sunday.

The Steelers' defense got Alex Highsmith back last week, providing a significant boost. Pittsburgh’s run defense has been especially great, ranking fourth in rushing yards allowed per game (91.5) and sixth in YPC (4.1). If there is a defense that can challenge Philly’s electric backfield, it is the one they’ll face on Sunday.

The Eagles' defense has been one of the league’s best, but they will face a Steelers offense playing its best football. That is primarily due to Russell Wilson finally setting in over the last three games, throwing six touchdowns and just one interception. He has breathed life into the offense, leading to them leading the AFC North by two games.

Philly’s defense has not allowed an opponent to score over 20 points in five consecutive games, but the Steelers may not even need that many. Again, Their defense will lead the way as Wilson does just enough to get a crucial road win.

Eagles vs. Steelers - Our Pick

Many bettors still view the Steelers as a pretender, but that simply isn’t the case. Philly has a great team, but the Steelers have more balance now. This will be an ugly slugfest, but the Steelers will come out on top.

Eagles vs. Steelers Best Prop Bets

Saquon Barkley Under 98.5 Rush Yards (-121) at Caesars Sportsbook

This is a massive total, but that's because the Eagles’ top back has rushed for 100+ yards in seven of his previous eight games. As impressive as he has been, he will run into a brick wall against the Steelers.

The Pittsburgh run defense is excellent on its own, but it will be boosted by Philly’s struggles to pass the ball. We have seen that aspect of the offense regress in three straight weeks. The Steelers will dare the Eagles to rely on Hurts through the air, leading to an ugly offensive effort.

Bet $1 at Caesars and Double Your Winnings

Jaylen Warren Over 28.5 Rush Yards (-121) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Eagles' run defense is tough, but Jaylen Warren has been incredible in limited time this season. The third-year back is averaging an impressive 4.61 yards per carry over his last six games. He is a far more explosive back than Najee Harris, which the Steelers will need to work around Jalen Hurts and Philly’s fearsome front seven.

Pat Freiermuth Over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-121) at Caesars Sportsbook

One thing we didn’t mention above is that George Pickens is questionable to play this weekend. If he is limited or misses the game, it will mean far more work for tight end Pat Freiermuth. He has formed a solid connection with Wilson over the last three games, posting 175 yards and two touchdowns. He surpassed this total in each game and will do so again on Sunday.
