The 2022 NFL runner-up Philadelphia Eagles host the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football and DraftKings Sportsbook is offering up to $1,250 in prizes to new customers who register ahead of kick-off.
DraftKings is offering not one, not two, but THREE ways for new users to win prizes when they create an account using a DraftKings promo code.
The first prize is a $50 bonus bet that is yours as soon as you finish creating your account. The second is another $200 in bonus bets that is paid out as soon as you have placed your qualifying bet, and the third is a 20% deposit match up to $1,000. That brings the total value of the DraftKings promo to $1,250 in bonuses.
If you want to claim this offer, then all you need to do is follow these steps:
Note that all prizes are paid in the form of bonus bets, which are like tokens that are redeemable at DraftKings only. Bonus bets cannot be withdrawn for cash but can be used to win cash prizes.
All bonus bets will expire after seven days. Bonus bets from the bet $5 to win $200 deal will be paid in eight $25 increments.
The Vikings and Eagles were both playoff teams a year ago. Philly made a run to the Super Bowl before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Vikings were knocked out in the first round by the New York Giants.
The Eagles managed to beat the New England Patriots 25-20 in their season opener thanks to a couple of key turnovers. The Vikings were not as lucky and were upset by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-17.
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
Vikings | +7 (-112) | +240 | Over 48 (-112) |
Eagles | -7 (-108) | -198 | Under 48 (-108) |
The Vikings were one of the most overperforming teams in the NFL in 2022. They finished the year 13-4 despite having a negative point differential and were 11-0 in one-score games. That luck has already started to spin on its head with their Week 1 loss.
The Eagles did not have the same level of potency on offense against the Pats as they did for most of last year, but they still managed to get a win and cover the spread despite any potential Super Bowl hangover.
The Vikings did not perform well as road underdogs last season, going 1-3 ATS. Philly, meanwhile, was 8-3 ATS as a home favorite.
Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins has a history of disappointing in primetime matchups. In nine career appearances on Thursday Night Football, he averages 304.1 passing yards and has 17 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He’s also 4-5 in those games but has won three straight and three of four with the Vikings.
The Dallas Cowboys proved they will be a force in the NFC East this season with a commanding 40-0 win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and the pressure is on the Eagles to get another win or risk being overtaken by their rivals.
The Vikings aren’t under as much pressure but have a golden opportunity to win an NFC North division that has no dominant team.
