Dolphins vs. Patriots Picks, Predictions & Player Props: Expect Limited Points

  • The Dolphins come into this game with severe quarterback problems

  • New England could bench Rhamondre Stevenson because of a fumbling issue

  • Both teams come into this matchup at 1-3

The Patriots and Dolphins both enter Sunday’s AFC East showdown with quarterback issues. Miami lost Tua Tagovailoa back in Week 3 due to a concussion. Now, Miami must decide between Tyler Huntley and Tim Boyle.

New England started the season with a win over the Bengals, but it has been downhill ever since their debut win. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has regressed, making fans call for Drake Maye.

We have targeted a total and a few props for Sunday’s game. New customers on FanDuel Sportsbook can get $200 in bonus bets instantly when they wager $5 on the platform. This is a great way to rack up some bonuses for the NFL season.

Dolphins vs Patriots Predictions and Prop Bets

Dolphins vs. Patriots Pick

The Cold, Hard Football Facts have successfully predicted the outcome of NFL games and seasons for over 20 years. Their 22 proprietary stats rank teams in terms of efficiency and both of these teams rank at the bottom.

The Dolphins rank 28th in the quality stat power rankings, while the Patriots are 31st. This means both teams are extremely inefficient and two of the worst teams in the league at the moment.

This game may not see much action on the offensive side of the ball, which is why we expect a low-scoring affair.

Dolphins vs. Patriots Predictions

Both teams come into this matchup at 1-3, struggling to score. Miami is coming off a loss to Tennessee by a score of 31-12. San Francisco defeated New England a week ago 30-13, failing to cover as a 10.5-point underdog.

With both teams struggling in 2024, we expect this total to soar under the 36.5-point line. Both clubs are searching for a true starting quarterback but don’t have one on Sunday.

Miami averages 15.4 points per game, which won’t cut it against any team. The Dolphins have failed to get the ball in their playmakers’ hands, and this is primarily because of their quarterback.

They have strong skill players like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but neither receiver gets many opportunities to make plays.

With the Patriots, Brissett has struggled to generate points. He does not have a lot of help at receiver, but he has been off-target all year. Brissett must be better, or he is at risk of losing his job to Maye.

Dolphins vs. Patriots Best Player Props

Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime Touchdown (+115) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The only type of offense that New England has going for them is on the ground with Rhamondre Stevenson. He is a power back who can also create plays in space, and we expect him to find the end zone in this matchup.

The Dolphins have not been great on the defensive side of the ball, and we expect them to struggle against the Patriots' offensive line.

Stevenson should be extra careful with the football against a weak Dolphins defense since Jerod Mayo challenged him this week. Look for Stevenson to find the end zone on Sunday for one of the few scores in this game.

Tyreek Hill Anytime Touchdown (+180) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Hill is the most versatile and athletic player in the NFL because he turns negative plays into touchdowns. Miami’s bad offense does not mean Hill won’t score on Sunday.

Look for Mike McDaniel to call plays to give the All-Pro the ball. Hill can get the job done through the air and on the ground, so his versatility makes this a strong bet for a great price of +180.

Hunter Henry Anytime Touchdown (+275) at FanDuel Sportsbook

With the Patriots weak receiver room, Hunter Henry is one of the best options on offense. Henry was targeted 12 times for eight receptions in Week 2 against Seattle, and we believe the Patriots will attempt this again.

Henry is a big target at tight end, and if the run game is not working, we think he will get an opportunity to score in the red zone on Sunday.

Henry is the number one tight end and will be on the field for over 80% of the snaps. This will maximize his potential to get in the end zone and cash this player prop.
