This matchup features two teams at entirely different points in the season. The Commanders are in second place in the NFC East, while Dallas is 3-7 and will be without Dak Prescott for the remainder of 2024. 

Washington is coming off two straight losses to the Eagles and Steelers, which are respectable losses considering the quality of the teams. They are still in a great spot to capture this division and make a run in the playoffs. 

The spread is very high but for a good reason. Dallas has nothing left to play for, as they are already thinking about next year, and the Commanders are playing great football. We are laying the points with Washington as we see this game ending in a blowout.

Jayden Daniels is by far the best rookie in the NFL. He has completely transformed the organization into a playoff contender. He has thrown for 2,338 yards with ten touchdowns and only three interceptions. 

Daniels is also an elite runner who can escape pressure out of the pocket and make plays on his feet. His versatility separates him from many other quarterbacks in this league, and the Commanders will go as far as he takes them in 2024. 

Dallas will rely on Cooper Rush to lead them at quarterback for the remainder of 2024. He has thrown for 566 yards and a 28.4 QBR in six games this season. Rush is not an ideal starter for an NFL team, but he is the only option they have outside of Trey Lance. 

This game will depend on how well Dallas can stop the run with Washington's elite backfield. Between Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler, we think they will run all over the Cowboys in this matchup. 

We expect Daniels to excel against Dallas’ secondary, as they haven’t been able to stop anybody in 2024. Look for the Commanders to get an early lead and coast to a victory to cover this spread.
