The final game of the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs is a classic NFC matchup featuring the fifth-seeded Dallas Cowboys and the number two seed San Francisco 49ers, with the Cowboys as one of three NFC East teams in the postseason coming off a beating of the Bucs facing off against a playmaker-packed Niners team with an undefeated rookie QB under center, Brock Purdy.
One player to watch in this game will be Cowboys PK Brett Maher who missed four XP attempts last week and one the week prior, five shanks in a row that no doubt has owner Jerry Jones and the entire city of Dallas concerned, a career 95.5% maker of XPs over four seasons, the same kicker who just led the league in XPs (53) during the 2022 season, the postseason pressure palpable.
According to the sportsbooks, the San Francisco 49ers have covered the spread in each of their last six postseason games against NFC opponents, so we like them to do that here, assuming their number one ranked defense can handle whatever Dallas QB Dak Prescott can muster this week, his stellar performance last week (300+ passing yards and 4 passing TDs) helping to get them here.

The main reason we like the over (46, -110) on this Divisional Round on the bet is that these two teams are prolific scorers – the Cowboys ranked fourth in that category after averaging 27.5 points per game this season and the Forty-Niners ranked 6th in scoring after posting 26.5 points per week, that combined total of 54 points well over what the sportsbooks are predicting.
Another reason we like the over here is that the oddsmakers tell us that each of the 49ers' last four games have gone over the total points line, plus San Francisco has won each of their last 11 games, so at home in the postseason will be reason enough to score points, and same with the Cowboys who can find the end zone if they can balance the run and the pass game.
For those debating the under for this bet, it makes sense if this becomes a defensive production since the Dallas Cowboys only allow opponents to score an average of 20.1 points per game and the San Fran 49ers' defense allows teams to score a league-low 16.3 points each time, that combined total of 36.4 reasons enough to take the under, both squads being stingy.

A great way to add excitement to this already thrilling matchup is to take a chance on this Divisional Round Player Parlay from DraftKings sportsbook that has the bettor guessing whether two of the Forty-Niners’ playmakers can have an outstanding game.
The bet is whether San Fan dual threat RB Christian. McCaffrey can post 100+ rushing yards while deep threat WR and occasionally RB Deebo Samuel also generates at least one rushing or receiving TD, with a $100 parlay bet paying winners $475 plus the wager.
McCaffrey came to the Niners midseason after spending five and a half season playing for the Carolina Panthers, now a threat from the backfield who is tough to tackle who can also line up as a receiver and run routes and catch footballs, the 5’ 11” 205-pound scrambler out of Stanford a difference maker who has posted 100+ rushing yards in six games this season.
Samuel’s talents are as unique as his first name, this season with 56 receptions for 632 yards and 2 TDs along with 42 carries for 232 yards and 3 TDs, so far with six games in which he has scored a touchdown, a 6’ 215-pound speedster who always seems open now in his fourth NFL season, all with San Francisco.
