NFL Combine Prop Odds: Will Records Be Broken Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft?

There will be no event during the offseason greater than the 2025 NFL combine—well, at least until the 2025 NFL Draft—and NFL combine prop odds are driving the storylines heading into the event.

The annual invite-only event gives opportunities to the best prospects in college football to showcase their skills and athleticism in a controlled environment before they enter the professional ranks.

Similarly, the variety of tests gives NFL front offices a final chance to review their favorite prospects’ speed, strength, medical history, intelligence, and much more. A resounding performance at the combine can completely change a player’s stock and even determine the 2025 NFL Draft first pick odds

Sportsbooks are offering 2025 NFL combine odds just days ahead of Thursday’s start date. Who will make the biggest change in NFL mock drafts, and who will upset the NFL combine odds? Let’s take a look.

Will Anyone Break the 40-Yard Dash Combine Record (4.21 seconds)?

Fastest 40-Yard Dash?

Record: 4.21 seconds (WR Xavier Worthy, 2024)

  • Over 4.255 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 4.255 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

The 40-yard dash timer does not begin on the sound of a starting pistol, but whenever the player takes off from a stationary start. It has arguably a larger impact on NFL Draft odds than any other event at the combine.

  • No: -700 ($1.43 profit from $10 bet)

  • Yes: +425 ($42.50 profit from $10 bet)

Worthy’s blazing-fast record helped him become the 28th pick and only first-round selection by the then-defending back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Most Bench Press Reps (225 Pounds)?

Record: 51 reps (DT Justin Ernest, 1999)

  • Over 36.5 reps: -120 ($8.33 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 36.5 reps: -110 ($9.09 profit from $10 bet)

Players are required to fully lock out every rep and may go at any tempo they choose. They perform repetitions of 225 pounds until they can’t do any more in the purest test of raw upper body power.

Highest Vertical Jump?

Record: 46 inches (S Gerald Sensabaugh, 2005)

  • Over 43.75 inches: -120 ($8.33 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 43.75 inches: -110 ($9.09 profit from $10 bet)

Participants stand flat-footed next to a device hanging in the air connected to a stand. They are first measured with their hands straight in the air and then leap and touch the device as high as they can, and the difference is calculated between their max reach and standing reach.

Farthest Broad Jump?

Record: 147 inches (CB Byron Jones, 2015)

  • Over 138.5 inches: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 38.5 inches: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

Players stand on the edge of a line and leap from a standing start as far forward as possible. They must stick the landing with both feet and are measured by the mark that is furthest behind them, usually their heels.

Fastest Three-Cone Drill?

Record: 6.28 seconds (CB Justin Thomas, 2018)

  • Over 6.555 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 6.555 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

Cones are placed in an “L” shape each five yards apart. Players sprint out, touch the cone five yards ahead of them, sprint back to touch the starting cone, run back out to the cone in front of them, loop sideways and run five yards to the cone at the side of the “L,” return five yards and loop back five yards to finish at the starting cone. This test determines a player’s ability to continually accelerate and decelerate in tight spaces.

Fastest 20-Yard Shuttle?

Record: 3.75 seconds (CB Dunta Robinson, 2004)

  • Over 3.955 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

  • Under 3.955 seconds: -115 ($8.70 profit from $10 bet)

Players start in a three-point stance. They sprint to touch a cone five yards on their right, reverse direction and sprint to touch a cone 10 yards to the left, then reverse again and finish with a 10-yard sprint to their right. This also measures a player’s lateral quickness and ability to accelerate in a hurry.
