Patrick Mahomes is on a mission, which has been evident with the Chiefs play as of late. Mahomes and the Chiefs marched into Buffalo in the Divisional round and dominated the Bills.
The game appeared to come down to a field goal, but it was decided earlier that night. The Chiefs created explosive plays throughout the game, which the Bills couldn’t match, and it helped them punch their ticket to a sixth straight AFC Championship Game.
Mahomes will face one of the biggest playoff challenges of his career on Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens have stormed through every team in their path, including the Houston Texans in the Divisional round.
The Ravens started slow against CJ Stroud and company, but Lamar Jackson dominated in the second half as Baltimore routed Houston. The Ravens earned the top seed in the AFC and have the most complete team in the conference.
The Ravens have the best defense in the AFC and a quarterback who will likely win his second MVP this season. If Mahomes can pull off more magic on Sunday, it will be remarkable based on the Ravens’ 2023-24 roster.
The best way to attack playoff betting is in the prop markets. Let’s break down our favorite player props for the matchup!

Buccaneers | +3.5 (-105) | +168 | Over 44.5 (-108) |
Lions | -3.5 (-115) | -200 | Under 44.5 (-112) |

Lamar Jackson’s rushing prop may seem staggering on Sunday at 64.5 yards, but this is a typical line for the quarterback. Jackson has dominated opposing defenses with his legs, and we don’t anticipate this changing against the Chiefs.
Kansas City has an outstanding defense, and they have shut down great players this season. However, Josh Allen rolled through the Chiefs with his legs, and Jackson is faster and more agile than the Buffalo Bill.
Allen carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards. He averaged six yards per carry and scored two touchdowns in the process. Kansas City has a good pass rush, allowing Jackson to scramble when the blitz gets home.
This is one way he will rack up yards. Jackson is also deadly against pressures that don’t get home because the secondary turns their back to guard receivers, and he can create explosive gains quickly.
The Ravens also use the quarterback with designed runs frequently. The Bills succeeded last week in the designed run game with Allen, so look for the Ravens to adopt this approach.

The best players step up in big-game situations. Travis Kelce is the man who needs to dominate for the Chiefs to have a chance.
Mahomes does an excellent job extending plays in the pocket, which typically leaves Kelce open down the field. Kelce is coming off a 75-yard performance where he averaged 15 yards per reception. The tight end also scored twice in the win.
The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the NFL. According to Cold, Hard Football Facts, they rank second in Defensive Passer Rating and first in Defensive Real Passing Yards/Attempt. The numbers don’t necessarily support Kelce surpassing 63.5 receiving yards, but it’s hard to bet against the future Hall of Famer.
Even though Rashee Rice has burst onto the scene this season, Mahomes still looks to Kelce in high-leverage situations.

Lamar Jackson is having the best passing season of his career, and Zay Flowers has benefited. Flowers was the 22nd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Boston College, and he has posted massive numbers for a rookie.
Flowers has caught 77 passes for 858 yards and five touchdowns this season. He has come alive in the back half of the season, with a 72 and 106-yard performance in two of his past three games.
Flowers’ line is set at 46.5, and he has surpassed it in three of his past five games. According to Cold, Hard Football Facts, the Chiefs rank eighth in Defensive Passer Rating, but there should still be plenty of windows for Flowers down the field.
