Browns vs. Ravens Picks, Predictions & Player Props: A Massive Mismatch

  • Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has one touchdown and 10 interceptions in his career.

  • On passes 20 yards or longer, Thompson-Robinson hasn’t completed a single pass.

  • With a win, the Baltimore Ravens win the AFC North.

The 11-5 Baltimore Ravens will host the 3-13 Cleveland Browns in Week 18 of the NFL season. The Ravens are in first place in the AFC North, while the Browns are last in the same division.

Below are the odds for this game, my best bet, predictions, and best player props.

Brown vs Ravens Predictions and Prop Bets

Browns vs. Ravens: My Pick

The Ravens play on Saturday before the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. They must win this game to secure the AFC North.

Should the Ravens lose and the Steelers win, the Ravens will drop from the No. 3 seed to the No. 5 seed and be on the road in the first round of the playoff instead of hosting one or more playoff games.

That said, I don’t think the Ravens will lose. The Brown offense is utterly useless with Dorian Thompson-Robinson. They’ve scored nine points over the last two games.

Over those two games, Thompson-Robinson has combined for 327 passing yards, no touchdowns, and three picks. He has one touchdown and 10 interceptions in his career.

The Ravens could score 21 points and cover this spread.

Browns vs. Ravens Predictions

Of all the games this season, this might be the one that requires the least amount of analysis or thought.

To me, the Browns are “quiet tanking.” I cannot fathom why or how they continuously put out Thompson-Robinson as the starter.

Winston is turnover-prone, but at least there’s some life in this offense.

He had 300-plus yards and three touchdowns against Baltimore earlier this season.

Of course, that was a different Ravens defense.

Since Week 11, the Ravens have allowed 218 passing yards or less in each game and only four passing touchdowns. They’ve also intercepted a pass in each of their last three games.

Here, they’ll take on Thompson-Robinson, who’s had arguably the worst start to NFL career I can recall. It’s Ryan Lindley levels of bad.

Over his last two starts, Thompson-Robinson has completed 58.8% or less of his passes, has thrown for 170 yards or less, hasn’t averaged more than 4.6 yards per attempt, and hasn’t thrown a touchdown.

He doesn’t throw the ball down the field; when he does, he’s atrocious.

On passes of 20-plus yards, he has zero completions on eight attempts and three interceptions. When blitzed, he averages just 1.9 yards per attempt.

The Ravens are likely to pitch a shutout here and could cover with just 18 points.

The Ravens win this one, 27-3.

Browns vs. Ravens Best Player Props

Derrick Henry Anytime TD (-200 at Caesars Sportsbook)

The Browns have been decent against the run lately, but that’s ending here.

In their last game against the Dolphins, they allowed just 1.74 yards per carry on 19 tries. However, that was against a Miami Dolphins offense led by Tyler Huntley.

In the game before against the Bengals, they allowed 5.06 yards per carry.

They’ve held running backs out of the end zone in each of the last three games, but Henry has been playing incredibly lately.

Over the last two games, he has 51 carries for 309 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens are massive favorites in this game and will be leading from quite early on. I expect him to get plenty of chances to find the endzone.

The only potential issue could be the Ravens pulling starters as the lead mounts.

Jerry Jeudy Longest Reception Under 19.5 Receiving Yards (-125 at Caesars Sportsbook)

Over his last two games with Thompson-Robinson as the starter, Jeudy’s longest receptions have been 17 yards or less.

Here, he’ll take on a Ravens defense that has only allowed three receivers over the past two games to have a catch of 20 yards or more, and that included offenses led by Russell Wilson and C.J. Stroud.

Jeudy could break off a catch and run for 20 yards or more, but I’d rather bet on that not happening. I don’t believe Thompson-Robinson can deliver a pass down the field to Jeudy. On passes 10-plus yards, he has just seven completions on 21 attempts and one interception.

No chance I’d risk the over.

Rashod Bateman Anytime TD (+305 at Caesars Sportsbook)

With the Ravens as massive favorites, a touchdown for Bateman may need to come quickly before the lead mounts, and I think it will.

Opposite him will be Browns cornerback Martin Emerson Jr.

This season, he has allowed 50 catches on 80 targets (62.5%) for 585 yards, 11.7 yards per catch, and six touchdowns. He’s allowed two over the last three games.

He hasn’t played well this season, and this comes as Bateman has scored three touchdowns over his last three games despite just five receptions.
