The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football to close out Week 5 of the NFL season.
Both teams scored 30+ points last week, which could indicate some offensive firepower in this one—or will it?
Here, we’ll explore the offense by examining single-player props. Single-player props are a lot like fantasy football in that we’re examining how individual players will perform.
Here, we have three prop bets to examine.
Despite low passing yardage totals on a game-by-game basis this year, Mahomes still has 11 passing touchdowns, including five in Week 1 and three in Week 4.
As of late, the Chiefs have started to get more of a running game, including in Week 4, with rookie running back Isiah Pacheco going over 60 yards on 11 carries.
The Chiefs are a touchdown-or-more favorite in this one depending on which sportsbook you look at, so we anticipate the Chiefs to lead and lean more on the running game. Mahomes will still be successful in the passing game, but this isn’t the Chiefs of last season that had wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and he’s throwing for 400 yards.
He’ll still manage to get his touchdown passes as seven of his 11 touchdowns or on passes either behind the line of scrimmage or between zero to nine yards.

Typically when you think a quarterback will throw three touchdowns, that’s usually correlated to many passing yards.
Well, as we pointed out, that isn’t the case with Mahomes.
Mahomes threw for 303 yards in Week 1 while getting five touchdowns, but since then, he hasn’t topped 262 yards this season.
In Week 4 against the Buccaneers, he had three passing touchdowns on just 249 yards.
Considering they want to get the running game going, they are favored in this game and should have the lead. Nearly 60% of his attempts come from behind the line of scrimmage or from zero to nine yards downfield; a line of 250 passing yards and three touchdowns isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

After going over 140 rushing yards and two scores in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs will come back down to earth in this one against the Chiefs.
Not only are the Raiders the underdogs and will need to throw to contend with the Chiefs, but the Chiefs run defense is the best in the league, and it’s not particularly close.
The Chiefs allow less than 65 rushing yards per game, and Jacobs, despite his fantastic Week 4 effort, is not the guy to upend that.
The Raiders will need to throw to stay in this one.
