Best Bo Nix Prop Bets: Can the Rookie Upset Patrick Mahomes?

  • Bo Nix and the Broncos head to Kansas City to battle the Chiefs

  • Denver was blown out last week by Baltimore, 41-10

  • Nix hasn’t thrown a touchdown in two of his past three games

Bo Nix has led the Broncos to a winning record at 5-4, and they are looking to gain some momentum in the AFC West. They now face the best team in the NFL, the Chiefs, who enter this matchup at 8-0.

Nix has played well enough to keep the Broncos in playoff contention for now, and we expect him to have a big game this week.

The Broncos are coming off a blowout loss to Baltimore one week ago, and they will have trouble responding against the Chiefs.

Bo Nix Over 209.5 Passing Yards (-110) at bet365 Sportsbook

Nix has thrown for 1,753 yards to go with eight touchdowns in 2024, and we expect him to have a solid second half of the season.

Nix has a turnover issue that he has to figure out, but it’s always a great idea to take a quarterback’s yards when they like to throw the ball all over the field.

Nix is coming off a 223-yard performance one week ago against Baltimore in a blowout loss. We expect Denver to be trailing in this matchup as well, which will give Nix more opportunities to throw the ball.

Outside of Courtland Sutton, Nix doesn’t have many weapons on offense. However, we trust his ability to make plays and surpass his passing yards this week.

Look for Nix to attack the Chiefs' secondary and challenge them to make plays in Week 10.

Bo Nix Over 33.5 Passing Attempts (-110) at bet365 Sportsbook

When betting on a quarterback’s yards, it’s also a great idea to take passing attempts if their team is trailing. We anticipate the Broncos playing from behind since the Chiefs are such a good team.

Nix had 33 attempts one week ago and 37 the week before. As the season goes on, Sean Payton is starting to trust Nix more, which will result in extra passing plays.

Passing attempts can be an exciting market because the quarterback doesn’t have to succeed for the wager to hit. Even with a weak wide receiver room, we know Nix will be airing the ball out this week, as the Chiefs' run defense is one of the best in the league.

Look for Nix to throw the ball on all downs to try and confuse the Chiefs' defense that has been playing outstanding.

Bo Nix Over 34.5 Yards Longest Completion (-115) at bet365 Sportsbook

The last prop we are taking is Bo Nix over 34.5 yards for his longest completion. Every week, Courtland Sutton makes big plays for this offense to swing the momentum in favor of Denver.

He is a versatile receiver who does a great job of winning one one-on-one balls down the field.

This will be Nix’s first time playing the Chiefs, so nerves might kick in, but we expect him to settle down and have a considerable performance. Yet, we’re still on Kansas City to win the game.

Nix is not your normal rookie, as he is 24 years old and is prepared for this moment. Nix has had completions of 31, 29, and 27 yards in 2024, and we could see an even bigger play break out against the Chiefs secondary this week.

Look for Nix to throw the ball a ton against Kansas City. More attempts give us a higher chance of explosive plays to hit this wager.
