Amon-Ra St. Brown has been incredible once again this season. The 25-year-old is cementing his status as one of the league’s top pass catchers, ranking second in receptions (101), third in touchdowns (11), and fourth in yards (1,126).
The Niners' pass defense has been solid, but injuries remain a significant problem. That now includes starting safety Ji’Ayir Brown, who is questionable with an ankle injury. He has been a big reason for the defense's success against the pass, but he will likely be hobbled or miss the game altogether. St. Brown will exploit that, finding the end zone at least once.

Kittle has not found the end zone in four consecutive games, but that will change on Monday. That is because of the Detroit run defense, which is one of the league’s best. This will force the Niners to work far more through the air, especially in the red zone.
Detroit’s pass defense has been an issue, though that is primarily due to building significant leads. That leads opponents to pass as the unit transitions into clock management mode. That is why the team ranks twenty-seventh in passing yards per game (240.4) but second in opposing passer rating (81.8)
While the tight end hasn’t found the end zone, he has 18 catches for 318 yards over the last three games.

Lions’ tight end Sam LaPorta is set up for a big night on Monday. We mentioned above that one of Detroit’s starting safeties will be hurt, but their linebacker core has also been decimated. Dre Greenlaw was injured last week and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. His backup is currently serving a suspension, leaving the team without a true weak-side linebacker.
Strong-side linebacker Dee Winters is also injured and is questionable to play tonight. San Francisco will be left with three active linebackers if he is out. Expect them to add some talent from the practice squad, but it won’t prevent this unit from being vulnerable against a talented tight end like LaPorta.
