The Huskies have long been favored to win the national championship game, and that’s the case here as well. They’ll take on Purdue, which has Zach Edey, one of the most decorated college players this season. He’s had no less than 20 points and 12 rebounds in a game, and the Boilermakers are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country.
Against NC State, Purdue shot 40% from the field and beyond the arch, while UConn shot 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range.
UConn’s starting five are all in the running to be first-round NBA Draft picks. While Purdue has Edey and he’ll still get things rolling, UConn is so deep and makes so many shots that Purdue doesn’t have the manpower to contain all of them.
Look for Edey to have yet another electric game, but Purdue ultimately falls due to an assortment of Stephon Castle, Alex Karaban, Donovan Clingan, Tristen Newton, and Cam Spencer.
UConn not only wins this game but covers the spread.
Moneyline: Purdue (+240) | UConn (-300)
Spread: Purdue (+6.5, -108) | UConn (-6.5, -112)
Total: Over 145.5 (-110) | Under 145.5 (-110)
Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook, current as of April, 8.
There are numerous ways to wager on March Madness at FanDuel. Below are some of the most common examples.
Moneyline: Bet on which team you think will win the game.
Point Spread: The point spread is a number designed to make matches as even as possible. Considering this number, choose whether you think an underdog will lose but stay within the range of that number or if a favorite will win and exceed the number. For example, if a team is -2.5, they must win by three to cover. If a team is +2.5, they must either win outright or lose by two or less to cover.
Over/Under: Bet on the combined number of points scored in a game.
Futures: Bet on who you think will win each region and the championship and who will advance to key rounds such as the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and Final Four.
Player Props: Wager on individual player’s performances, including points, rebounds, assists, and more.
Parlays: Group together multiple games on one ticket. For a parlay to win, all chosen bets must win. However, if you succeed, you’ll potentially see massive payouts.
