The primetime Monday matchup on ESPN will feature Duke and North Carolina State. The opening tip is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET, and this game has countless postseason implications.

Duke is seeking the first-place spot in the ACC, currently sitting one game behind North Carolina. The Blue Devils have one more crack at the Tar Heels to conclude the season, which could decide the ACC regular season title. Additionally, Duke is in line to receive a two-seed in the NCAA Tournament with a solid finish to the season. A loss to NC State could be detrimental to their seeding resume.

The Blue Devils recently secured a home victory against Virginia, while the Wolfpack faced a loss to North Carolina on the road in their previous matchup. With both teams coming from a victory, this is shaping up to be an interesting match. Now, let's delve into the Duke vs. NC State showdown and share our top betting picks for the game.

Duke vs. NC State Preview

The Blue Devils are playing their best basketball at the right time. The Blue Devils are seeking their third straight win and have a great chance on the road against an inferior NC State team.

Since Wake Forest bested Duke on the road at the end of February, the Blue Devils have played with a different intensity level.

They beat Louisville 94-59 in the next game and followed this up with a 73-48 win over Virginia. The Cavaliers are expected to make the NCAA Tournament, so beating Virginia by 25 was very impressive. Duke has also covered in four of their past five games.

Kyle Filipowski was fantastic on Saturday, scoring 21 points. He has averaged close to a double-double this season with 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Filipowski is one of the best sophomores in the country and has continued to improve throughout the year. Jeremy Roach, Filipowski’s offensive counterpart, has also been fantastic.

Roach averages 14.1 points per game, shooting just under 50% from the field. When Roach shoots, chances are baskets are falling. He doesn’t go cold much, and when he does, he gets the ball down low to Filipowski.

Duke ranks seventh in the KenPom Ratings, so they have a considerable advantage over NC State. The Wolfpack are 75th in the KenPom Ratings, so they must be flawless to take down the Blue Devils.

NC State is having a good season, but it’s not on the same level as the Blue Devils. For the Wolfpack to make the NCAA Tournament, they will have to win the ACC Tournament, and their chances are slim.

They have been playing very poorly as of late. Their 79-70 loss to North Carolina on Saturday caused them to fall to 9-9 in the conference.

DJ Horne is the player who must be perfect to give the Wolfpack a chance at home. He has scored 20+ points in three of his past five games, averaging 17.6 per contest this season.

Jayden Taylor is the other scorer to watch for NC State. He had 24 points last week against Florida State, doubling his season average of 12.2 points per game.

NC State can score, but their inability to get stops has been a problem all season. They’re 195th in the country, surrendering 72.3 points per game.

Place your bets at FanDuel Sportsbook and claim $150 in bonus bets.

Duke vs. NC State Prediction and Betting Pick

Duke has looked strong over their recent stretch. They’re beating teams they should in a dominant fashion.

Their road game on Monday is not only a chance for a share of the top spot in the ACC but also a way to make up for their loss to Wake Forest at the end of February.

If Duke can prove they can walk into a hostile road environment and dominate, unlike they did against the Demon Deacons, it will give them confidence heading into the ACC Tournament. Lay the points with the Blue Devils.
