Well, March has long since ended, and on Monday night March Madness will end too. The Purdue Boilermakers are set to face the UConn Huskies in a battle between two of the no. 1 seeds, which has actually become a rarity these days. The Huskies are hoping to be the first team to repeat as champs since Florida in 2007 while the Boilermakers are hoping for a Virginia-esque turnaround, winning a national championship one year after an embarrassing First Round loss as a no. 1 seed.
Even though it’s the last game of the NCAA Tournament, it’s not too late to join the March Madness betting action. The March Mania welcome bonus at DraftKings Sportsbook still applies to new customers. You can sign up, place a $5 bet on the title game, and receive $150 in bonus bets. With baseball season in full swing and the NBA and NHL regular seasons still ongoing, there will be plenty of ways to use those bonus bets, so there’s no reason to hesitate in signing up before Monday’s national championship game.

This offer works with any sport, including any March Madness game. If you put together a same-parlay with three or more legs (each leg with -300 odds or longer), you will get a bonus bet equal to your wager if just one of those legs loses. There seems to be little doubt that the UConn Huskies are the best team in the country. But in a one-game championship, anything can happen. Keep in mind that the Purdue Boilermakers have the most dominant player in the country with Zach Edey proving to be virtually unstoppable throughout the NCAA Tournament.
As seven-point favorites, the Huskies are facing their smallest spread of the tournament. By pulling away late, UConn covered a double-digit spread in Saturday’s Final Four game against Alabama, winning by 14 points. Heading into Monday’s title game, the Huskies have won their last 12 games, going 11-1 against the spread. It’s been an utterly dominant run, meaning UConn has covered nearly 70% of its games this season.
To be fair, Purdue has been no less impressive during the tournament, going 5-0 against the spread. The Boilermakers have also gone 2-0 this season in games in which they’ve been the underdog. Equally important, Edey has stepped up during the tournament, averaging 28 points and 15.4 rebounds per game, which is even better than his stats during the regular season.
While Edey has been an unmovable object this season, UConn’s Donovan Clingan might be the toughest matchup he’s faced all season. If Clingan can contain Edey better than most big men this season, the Huskies will have an edge because they are more talented at just about every position. That should allow UConn to continue its dominance and cover the seven-point spread in the national title game.
Pick: UConn -7 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook
Of course, March Madness betting isn’t limited to the game above. DraftKings offers a wide array of betting markets for both individual games and futures bets. On the futures front, it’s possible to bet on the eventual national champion. There is also a betting market for each region. In other words, it’s possible to bet on a specific team to reach the Final Four.
For individual games, there is no shortage of options available. Obviously, you can bet against the spread, using only the moneyline, or the over/under. There are also bets on team total and bets on individual halves. You will also find a wide selection of prop bets for every game during March Madness, so the betting options are almost endless.
In Monday’s title game, one prop bet to consider is Purdue’s total points. The over/under for this is set at 69.5 points. The over has -110 odds, so a $10 bet pays $19.09. However, the under has -120 odds, meaning a $10 bet comes with a payout of $18.33.
