Xavier ended the regular season (21-10) on a seven-game win streak, but they’ve struggled against better teams (1-9 in Quad 1 games). Texas looked good during its non-conference slate 11-2 but had a hard time in conference games (6-12).

Playing in the SEC gave Texas more opportunities to play Quad 1 teams, but their record was below .500 (7-10). However, they did go 4-2 vs. Quad 1 teams down the stretch. That improvement and their experience playing tougher teams has me leaning toward Texas.
