There are three ranked games on Monday night, including a top-ten matchup between the No. 5 Houston Cougars and No. 9 Texas Tech Red Raiders!
The unranked North Carolina Tar Heels will also look to grab a road win against Florida State and make a late-season push to squeak into the NCAA Tournament after an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign.

The first time the Houston Cougars and Texas Tech Red Raiders faced off, star forward JT Toppin played merely four minutes before being ejected.
Although the Red Raiders were able to steal an impressive road win, Toppin will undoubtedly look for personal revenge and try to help the team secure the season sweep over Houston.
Toppin has been incredible all season, but his recent play has been eye-opening, to say the least.
In fact, he has averaged 26 points per game on an astounding 61.2% shooting from the field and 45.5% from behind the arc in his past five games; he comfortably eclipsed this line (16.5) in four of those five outings.
While Toppin’s recent efficiency is a huge factor in why we are backing him, so is his volume in this five-game span. Toppin has taken 17 field goal attempts per game for the Red Raiders, a promising volume for a 16.5-point line.
Houston has one of the country’s best defenses (third in adjusted defensive efficiency); however, the Cougs foul a lot, which could result in Toppin getting to the free-throw line more than usual.
If Texas Tech wants to win this game, it must lean heavily on Toppin.
Throughout the season, the Houston Cougars have done a solid job of not being too reliant on any one player for their offensive output.
However, LJ Cryer is the engine for this seventh-ranked (KenPom) offense.
Cryer has posted 15.0 points per game on a 41/42/91 shooting split this season, but he has ramped up his play even more recently.
In his past seven games, Cryer has bumped his averages to 18.6 points on 47.5% shooting from the floor and 44.8% from deep.
His efficient 3-point shooting has been particularly fantastic, especially given his increase in volume; he has taken just shy of nine 3-point attempts in that stretch.
Further, Cryer has knocked down at least three 3-pointers in seven consecutive games, including his last outing against Texas Tech.
And while the Red Raiders have the 27th-ranked defense (KenPom), they have not been elite at defending the perimeter, ranking just 80th in opponent 3-point percentage on the 62nd-most 3-point attempts per game.
It has been an up-and-down season for the North Carolina Tar Heels and their 5-star freshman guard, Ian Jackson.
Jackson had a seven-game stretch (late December through mid-January) in which he averaged nearly 23 points per game on a 54/41/70 shooting split; however, in the following seven games, he logged double-digit points just once.
Luckily, Jackson is on an upswing, scoring 12 or more points and eclipsing this line in three consecutive outings.
The Heels take on Florida State on Monday night.
Like UNC, the Seminoles have been a fast-paced team all season, favoring Jackson, who scores a hefty amount of his points in transition from opponents’ misses.
It should be a great scoring night for Jackson.
