With so many championship games this season, none are more critical for the fate of the College Football Playoff than the Pac-12 championship between the Utah Utes and the USC Trojans.
Currently, USC ranks as the No. 4 seed in the four-team playoff, so a win here should almost guarantee them a spot.
Here, we’ll look at the best bets to make it in this game that will be played at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Can the Trojans pull it out? Let’s explore.

We’ll say this upfront: If this game goes above three points, we recommend taking Utah.
However, at three points, we’ll lean USC in what should be another fantastic game. These two teams met in the regular season and Utah delivered USC their only loss, winning 43-42.
The USC offense has been fantastic this season, but their main concern is the defense. Believe us when we say that the spread is more based on the USC defense than anything else.
This season, USC has allowed over 262 passing and 142 rushing yards per game, which rank 110th and 52nd in the nation, respectively.
Utah is allowing just 206 per game, but in their last meeting, USC quarterback Caleb Williams had 381 yards and five touchdowns.
The USC defense showed some life last week, allowing just 27 to Notre Dame, which certainly offers some hope.
However, the Utah offense has scored 42 or more in three of their last four games, but did lose 20-17 against Oregon.
The offense, led by quarterback Cam Rising and tight end Dalton Kincaid, should put up points here, but the USC offense is just unstoppable right now.

We’re not overly concerned with a scenario that involves USC having trouble scoring here. Thus, the only thing that could cause some issues is the performance of Rising.
Rising had three interceptions against Oregon and has 10 turnover-worthy plays this season (2.6% rate).
As seen in their last outing (a combined 87 points), this USC defense couldn’t do much of anything to stop Rising.
This is a massive game, so there could be some jitters associated with that. Still, considering the last matchup and the offense and defense of USC, this game should see many points scored and hit the over.
