Texas faces Oklahoma for the first time as SEC member
Ohio State battles Oregon in a Top 5 showdown
Saturday is expected to be the best college football slate of the regular season
Saturday is expected to be the most entertaining college football slate of the year. The Texas Longhorns will face the Oklahoma Sooners for the first time as members of the NCAAF SEC.
The Red River Rivalry is always a great matchup, and it should be even better in the Southeastern Conference. Ohio State will also face Oregon later in the day, and LSU will host Ole Miss in Death Valley on Saturday night.
Sides can be challenging to pick in highly competitive games, so we’re looking at all these matchups from a prop perspective.
We believe a few players will shine on Saturday, and we’re placing these prop bets on bet365 Sportsbook. As a special offer, bet365 gives new users a $1,000 safety net bet or $200 in bonus bets. This exclusive deal is available only by following our custom bet365 sign-up link and by using our promo code WSN365.
Texas is the favorite to win the SEC Championship, but they still face countless challenges on the road to a title. Even though they’re a 14.5-point favorite against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry, this game should still be close.
Oklahoma isn’t as talented as Texas, but they have playmakers on both sides of the ball. This makes it hard to lay 14.5 points, even with a team as gifted as the Longhorns.
The Red River Rivalry is known for points, and the Longhorns will consistently find the end zone throughout the afternoon. However, most of their scoring should be done through the air.
Quinn Ewers will make his first start since September 14 against UTSA because of a side injury. The quarterback is expected to be a top pick in the NFL Draft, and we don’t believe his time away from the field will bring any rust.
Ewers passing yards line is set at 248.5, and we’re taking the over against the Sooners. Ewers went over this line in the season opener against Colorado State.
For Texas to win and cover, they must throw the football. Oklahoma is in the bottom half of the SEC in passing yards allowed per game at 218.6. Look for Ewers to have a massive day throwing the football, leading to a victory.

Oregon and Ohio State are expected to make the College Football Playoff no matter what happens in their contest on Saturday. One of these unbeaten teams will finish Saturday with a blemish on their record, while the other will be in first place in the Big Ten Conference.
Oregon is a 3.5-point underdog at home, which isn’t surprising. The Buckeyes are picked to win the National Championship, but Dillon Gabriel should have something to say about this on Saturday.
Oregon had a rough start to the season, but they have found their groove. The Ducks have won five straight games, and Gabriel has been a massive piece of the success.
Gabriel’s passing line is 250.5, and he has exceeded it in four of their past five games. Look for Gabriel to have another tremendous performance, especially if the Ducks are playing from behind.

Jaxson Dart is one of the most explosive players in college football. Even though Ole Miss doesn’t have a perfect record, Dart has been excellent in 2024.
Dart must be great against LSU in Death Valley on Friday. The Tigers have been solid this season, and even though they don’t have a legitimate defense, Tiger Stadium is a tough place to play.
LSU has the worst passing defense in the SEC, allowing 236.4 per game. Look for the Rebels to throw the ball immediately in this contest, as they have a significant advantage.
Dart has thrown for 2,100 yards with 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season. The quarterback has gone over this line in three of five games this season.
