Florida is a four-point underdog at home to Texas A&M
Oregon is 0-2 ATS and is laying 16.5 against Oregon State
There is a good chance an SEC Conference team will be represented in the National Championship, but it won’t be Florida. Miami blew out the Gators in Week 1 of the regular season. They responded with a vengeance against Samford, but this wasn’t a challenge.
However, they will be challenged against Texas A&M on Saturday, who enters with a 1-1 record. The Gators are a four-point dog at home, and this is a viable betting option, considering The Swamp is a tough place to play.
The other bet we’re looking at is the Civil War between Oregon and Oregon State. The Ducks have survived their first two games against mediocre opponents and are now a 16.5-point favorite.

Billy Napier’s seat is getting hot at Florida. The Gators have been the punching bag of the SEC under his leadership, and they will have a difficult season in 2024. Florida has the most challenging schedule in the country, and it becomes challenging in the second half.
Their winnable games were in September, and are currently 1-1. The Gators started the season by getting smoked at home by Miami. The Hurricanes players were telling Florida’s recruits that they run Florida and they should come to Miami.
Graham Mertz was injured in the opener, which gave DJ Lagway time under center. He started against Samford in Week 2 and has been solid in his time leading the Gators.
The quarterback is 21-31 for 487 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He has one interception, but he has managed games well thus far.
Lagway is competing with Mertz to start against Texas A&M. We believe the Gators will cover the spread on Saturday, no matter what quarterback starts. The Gators don’t have a great team, but neither does Texas A&M.
The Aggies are receiving too much love in the betting markets, considering they lost to a bad Notre Dame team at home. Their quarterback, Conner Weigman, isn’t a player we want to bet on because of his 38.8 QBR, which is 98th in the country.
He didn’t play well against Notre Dame and wasn’t overly dominant against McNeese State. We anticipate Florida’s crowd giving Weigman and company some trouble. Additionally, Lagway has a much higher ceiling than Weigman, so look for Florida’s offense to take some chances with their season on the line.

The Oregon Ducks have been on upset alert for two straight weeks. Oregon lost their quarterback from last season, Bo Nix, to the Broncos, and it has caused them to slide in the national rankings.
Oregon still has a talented team, but they’re off to a slow start in 2024. The Ducks are 2-0, but they haven’t come close to covering a single spread this season.
The team beat Idaho by ten and Boise State by three points. At this rate, Oregon will get upset and be left out of the College Football Playoff.
Oregon's biggest problem has been its quarterback, Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel’s box score in two games doesn’t show how poor Oregon’s offense has looked in 2024.
The quarterback has thrown for 623 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in two games. However, his 53.5 QBR ranks him 66th in the country.
The Ducks' defense has made big stops throughout the season, but it’s hard to expect what they will do after their two games.
We know that Oregon State will bring its A-game in this rivalry game. The Beavers are off to a 2-0 start and are coming off a 21-0 shutout against San Diego State.
Oregon State has an elite run game, which will be why they cover the spread. Last week, they carried the ball 51 times for 231 yards with two touchdowns.
If the Beavers can gain momentum early in this game, they could win outright. Take the points with Oregon State and sprinkle the moneyline if you believe they can run the football.
