The NBA Las Vegas Summer League is entering its seventh day, and the top seeds for the coming Summer League Playoffs are coming together. Several sides look like they’ll easily advance to the knockout rounds, while others hope to play spoiler to their efforts.
Keep an eye on the undefeated Summer League teams as they try to punch their ticket to the knockout round. The Memphis Grizzlies are favored in a matchup against the winless New Orleans Pelicans, and the LA Clippers face a streaky Utah Jazz side. There are seven games on the schedule, and each one projects to be an exciting affair!

New Orleans Pelicans Key Players: Jordan Hawkins, Yves Missi, Karlo Matkovic
The undefeated Memphis Grizzlies take on the winless New Orleans Pelicans in both teams’ final match of the Summer League’s regular season schedule. The Grizzlies have been dominant this summer, recently winning against the undefeated Magic behind a 27-point, 13-rebound night from GG Jackson. The Pelicans, however, have struggled to find consistency this summer and dropped their third of four games last time out despite shooting 58.6% from the field.
Washington Wizards Key Players: Alexandre Sarr, Keyontae George, Bub Carrington
Sacramento Kings Key Players: Keon Ellis, Mason Jones, Isaac Jones
After a disappointing showing in their last match, the Washington Wizards take on the Portland Trail Blazers, intending to earn a .500 record before the Summer League ends. In their previous game, the Wizards suffered a two-point loss as they shot just 33.3% from the field and 34.1% from three. The Kings suffered a similar loss in their last game despite a fantastic showing by Keon Ellis, who posted 29 points, six assists, and four blocks on the night.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers will face off in the second leg of their respective back-to-backs. The Lakers are coming off their first win of the Summer League, where Bronny James's promising performance with 12 points and two threes helped lead them to victory. The Cavaliers are in the opposite position as they try to overcome an 11-point loss in their last game despite hitting 13 threes.
LA Clippers Key Players: Jordan Miller, Moussa Diabate, Kobe Brown
Utah Jazz Key Players: Kyle Filipowski, Taylor Hendricks, Cody Williams
The LA Clippers need one more victory to go undefeated in the Summer League; they’ll just need to overcome a tough Utah Jazz team. Dominant in another matchup, the LA Clippers earned a 15-point win in their previous game, with Jordan Miller leading the way with 23 points. The Utah Jazz overcame a shorthanded Raptors squad in their last match, with the trio of Cody Williams, Taylor Hendricks, and Kyle Filipowski leading the team.
Minnesota Timberwolves Key Players: Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, Daishen Nix
Houston Rockets Key Players: Cam Whitmore, Reed Sheppard, AJ Griffin
Two teams with an outside chance of sneaking into the Summer League playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Houston Rockets, face off. The Timberwolves looked impressive in their last outing, fighting back in the fourth quarter despite falling short. On the other end of the court, the Houston Rockets struggled in their first loss of the season, where the team shot just 37.7% from the field in a 14-point loss.
