There are eight games on the Summer League’s Wednesday schedule, and some of the top teams in the competition are desperate to find victory on Wednesday night. The Golden State Warriors are third in the standings, and Brandin Podziemski aims to keep them there. On the other hand, the Lakers will try to salvage something from a disappointing Summer League run. There’s plenty of entertainment scheduled for Wednesday’s slate of games!

An exciting matchup is in play when the Toronto Raptors take on the Utah Jazz. The undefeated Charlotte Hornets aim to go 3-0 after they face the Boston Celtics. The Celtics looked solid in their last game, but their shooting has been particularly streaky as they’ve preferred volume of attempts over quality. The Hornets own the Summer League’s third-ranked defense, and they’ve been solid behind the lead of Nick Smith Jr. – which they’ll need to maintain with Brandon Miller’s participation in doubt.
Los Angeles Lakers Key Players: Dalton Knecht, Bronny James, Colin Castleton
Atlanta Hawks Key Players: Zaccharie Risachcher, EJ Liddell, Robert Baker
The Los Angeles Lakers hope to bounce back from an embarrassing loss when they take on the Atlanta Hawks. The Lakers dropped their last game to the Celtics, where they shot just 36.4% from the field while being led by Dalton Knecht’s 19 points on 33.3% shooting. The Hawks also dropped their last game in what was a poor shooting night for both teams, where Atlanta committed 16 turnovers on top of shooting just 34.7% from the field and 24.4% from deep.
Golden State Warriors Key Players: Brandin Podziemski, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Kevin Knox
Cleveland Cavaliers Key Players: Emoni Bates, Craig Porter, Luke Travers
Two solid teams face off when the Golden State Warriors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Golden State are coming off a double-digit victory where, once again, their trio of Podziemski, Jackson-Davis, and Knox led the charge. Cleveland are a similarly balanced team, who shot 54.5% in their last game, a 31-point victory, as every available player contributed to the scoresheet.
