Chicago Bulls Key Players: Matas Buzelis, Adama Sanogo, DJ Steward
Detroit Pistons Key Players: Daniss Jenkins, Bobi Klintman, Marcus Sasser
The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons face off in what projects to be an intense matchup. The Bulls looked tenacious in losing to the Warriors, led by rookie Matas Buzelis, who posted 28 points, five rebounds, and four threes. The Pistons aim to repeat the effort shown in their win over the Summer League Rockets, holding their opponents to just 73 points on 37.7% shooting.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves compete in a matchup featuring two top prospects from the 2024 rookie class. Despite struggling with his shooting through the Summer League, Jared McCain will try to lead the Sixers to victory in their third game despite his struggles. Rob Dillingham will try to maintain the Timberwolves momentum after winning two straight, despite putting up 14 points and eight assists on 5/14 shooting in his last game.
The Washington Wizards and the Portland Trail Blazers have struggled through their first few games of the Summer League. The Wizards have shown flashes of defensive quality with their length and athleticism, and the trio of Sarr, George, and Carrington give Wizards fans reasons to be excited. The Trail Blazers are coming off a solid victory, where their defense held their opponents to just 25.9% shooting from the field.
New Orleans Pelicans Key Players: Jordan Hawkins, Yves Missi, Antonio Reeves
San Antonio Spurs Key Players: Stephon Castle, Sidy Cissoko, Jamaree Bouyea
The New Orleans Pelicans will try to earn their first win of the Summer League against the undefeated San Antonio Spurs. Jordan Hawkins has been excellent for the Pelicans this summer, but he hasn’t received much assistance from his supporting cast. San Antonio, on the other hand, has looked like a balanced team whose defense has made up for its offensive inconsistencies.
