Summer League action continues on Monday, and Reed Sheppard and his Houston Rockets are expected to continue their stellar play against Ron Holland’s Detroit Pistons. Also on the schedule, the Memphis Grizzlies hope to maintain their positive run of form without top pick Zach Edey in the lineup. However, the main event of the evening is a matchup between the Celtics and Lakers, where Dalton Knecht and Bronny James hope to earn a win over their team’s historical rivals!

The winless Oklahoma City Thunder face off against the undefeated Miami Heat! The Heat are looking to make it two in a row in their first game, shooting 61.5% from the field and 60.0% from three behind Jaime Jaquez’s 29 points and 11 rebounds.
The Houston Rockets, one of the Summer League’s undefeated teams, will face the winless Detroit Pistons on Monday afternoon. The Rockets will play on the second leg of a back-to-back behind the brilliant play of rookie Reed Sheppard, who put up 22 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and five steals in his last game. The Pistons are coming off a 13-point loss where they had six double-digit scorers but shot just 39.7% on the night.
The Memphis Grizzlies will try and build on their 20-point opening night win when they face the Dallas Mavericks. Without their first-round draft pick Zach Edey, Memphis found success behind Jake LaRavia and GG Jackson, who combined for 39 points in the first match. The Mavericks suffered a one-point loss in their first game, shooting just 38.2% behind Brandon Williams’ 21 points, five assists, and two threes.
Utah Jazz Key Players: Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier, Kyle Filipowski
Sacramento Kings Key Players: Mason Jones, Adonis Arms, Jo Lual-Acuil
The Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings project to put on a hard-fought battle when they match up on Monday night. The Jazz are coming off a one-point win in their last game, where rookie Cody Williams led them with 21 points and three made three-pointers. Sacramento will try to bounce back from a 20-point loss in their first game, in which they committed 31 turnovers.

Los Angeles Lakers Key Players: Dalton Knecht, Bronny James, Colin Castleton
The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers carry their storied rivalry into the Summer League, where both teams are winless! Boston are coming off a five-point loss in their last game where they allowed 119 points on 61.5% shooting. On the other hand, the Lakers have struggled with their offense, scoring just 80 points on 38.6% from the field and 25.8% from three in their first game of the Summer League.
