The NBA is putting on a jam-packed Wednesday night schedule with seven games for fans and bettors to enjoy! When the action tips off, we’ll watch the Washington Wizards take on one of the league’s hottest teams, the Orlando Magic.
The Washington Wizards (3-14) are in a sorry state, putting up some fantastic scoring numbers while failing at what it takes to be a winning basketball team. The Orlando Magic (12-5) are the opposite, showing a two-way maturity expected from players with much more experience than their core group.
This will be the first meeting between these teams this season. Before the action tips off, it’s an excellent opportunity to build a winning same game parlay! When you sign up at FanDuel Sportsbook today, you'll receive $150 in bonus bets if you win a $5 wager on a money line!

The Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic meet for the first time this season. While they are trending in different directions in the Eastern Conference standings, that doesn’t mean this won’t be an exciting game. Two teams that generate some of the fastest paces in the league, the Wizards and Magic, are set to put on a show.
On the season, the Washington Wizards are averaging 116.1 points (8th) while allowing 124.0 points per game (29th). They’re posting an average points differential of -7.9 but coming from a win. They’ve hit over 233.5 in 10 of their 17 games this season. Kyle Kuzma leads them in scoring with 23.4 points per game.
The Orlando Magic are a more defensive outfit, scoring 112.6 points per game (18th) while allowing just 107.4 points (5th) on 46.7% shooting from the field (15th) and 35.9% from three (16th). Six players on Orlando’s roster average double-digits in scoring, but they’re led by Paolo Banchero, who averages 19.8 points per game on 48.8% from the field and 43.6% from three.
Delon Wright (Knee) and Ryan Rollins (Knee) are not expected to play for the Wizards on Wednesday. The Orlando Magic are listing Wendell Carter Jr. (Hand) as out, while Markelle Fultz (Knee) and Jonathan Isaac (Ankle) are day to day.

Jordan Poole has been one of the NBA’s most polarizing figures for quite a while now, but as the number one option in Washington, he’s simply disappointed. With the weight of expectation on his shoulders, Poole has struggled, getting his numbers inefficiently.
On the season, Poole is averaging 17.3 points, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.9 threes per game on 39.7% from the field and 28.0% from three-point range. He’s still shown his explosive offensive ability, but being surrounded by a less talented team than he had in Golden State has proven Poole to be more of a role player than a star player at this time.
During the season, Poole cleared 17.5 points seven times. In his last five games, Poole scored 18 or more points in three of them–while missing out on a 28-point loss to the Hawks in between. Wanting to bounce back from a poor shooting night against Detroit, Poole is sure to find his shots against the defensively adept Magic.

Jalen Suggs has figured it out in his third year. The fifth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft got off to a slow start, but his defensive tenacity and improved jumper have launched him back into the path of a productive and promising NBA player. Suggs has catalyzed Orlando's success by averaging 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists on 43.5% from the field and 36.2% from three.
Against the Washington Wizards, a player of Suggs' quality should thrive. Both teams play at a tremendous pace but for different reasons. Washington's liberal offense against Orlando's opportunities created by their defense should be an ideal environment for the athletic Suggs to thrive.
