PHX: A Four Quarter Effort
The Phoenix Suns are coming off of a tough meeting with the Utah Jazz. The match was back-and-forth, as the Suns gave up a first-half lead and saw the Jazz force overtime.
At halftime of their last match, the Suns were leading by 11 points after outscoring their opponents 31 to 19 in the second quarter.
The Clippers are a stout defensive team with shooters at almost every position. If the Suns can’t defend their opponents consistently, the game could quickly get away from them.

LAC: Start Out Strong
The LA Clippers have the benefit of facing a team that is coming off of a back-to-back. After getting out to a strong start in their last game, which their opponents couldn’t recover from, it seems the same tactic should bear great results.
Tyronn Lue’s team put on an exceptional first quarter in their last match against the Blazers. They scored 47 points on 18 of 25 shooting while seeing star guard Paul George posted 22 points in the opening frame.
The Suns are a more solid defensive team, but their ability to explode offensively allowed them the freedom to push the pace early.
Suns Key Player: (G) Devin Booker
Rising star Devin Booker is having one of the most successful seasons of his career. In his most recent game, an overtime win against the Jazz, Booker starred.
Booker led the Suns in their overtime victory against the Western Conference leaders with 35 points, four rebounds, and three assists, on 13 of 31 shooting. While his efficiency wasn’t great, adding six turnovers to the damage, his threat to score is what won them the game.
Surprisingly, Booker failed to convert on any of his three-point attempts in his last game. To beat the Clippers, he’ll need to be more versatile and efficient in his approach.
