The Indiana Pacers enter their Monday night matchup against the Toronto Raptors off a win, bringing them within a game of the .500 mark through their tough start. When the Pacers take on the Raptors on Monday night, they’ll need to overcome a team that is much more than their standing suggests.
Through 13 games this season, the Indiana Pacers have posted a 7-6-0 ATS Record, ranking them 12th in the NBA. That gives them a 53.9% cover percentage, a -2.6 margin of victory, and a -3.6 ATS +/- on the season.
The Indiana Pacers covered the spread in their last game, a 119-110 victory over the Miami Heat. While the quality difference between the Pacers and Raptors is stark, primarily due to injuries, Indiana must be careful around a 2-12 team that is also 9-5-0 against the spread this season—expect a hard-fought affair.

In his ninth professional season, Pascal Siakam leads an Indiana Pacers squad struggling to reach the heights of their early-season performance from last year. He returns to Toronto, where he won his first NBA Championship in 2019, with eyes on leading his Pacers back to the .500 mark.
In 12 games this season, Siakam is averaging 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.2 threes per game. He was relatively quiet in his last game, a loss to the Heat, putting up 14 points, five rebounds, and one three in 30 minutes of play.
Siakam has scored over 20.5 points in five of his 12 appearances, leading the Pacers in scoring this season. After averaging 22.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists against his former team last season, expect another big performance in his first return to Toronto this season.

With injuries to co-stars Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley, 24-year-old guard RJ Barrett has stepped up to lead the Toronto Raptors. While they haven’t found much success this season, Barrett’s production has earned him a place among the favorites to win Most Improved Player of the Year! Against the Pacers on Monday night, Barrett will be asked to carry his Raptors once again.
In his sixth professional season, Barrett is posting career-highs of 21.7 points, 6.6 assists, and 6.2 rebounds on 40.3% from the field and 31.8% from three-point range. He had one of the best performances of his career in his last match, a narrow loss to the Celtics, putting up 25 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds on 37.0% shooting.
Barrett’s playmaking has been a focus this season, stepping up when Toronto’s usual playmakers have fallen out of the lineup due to injury – hitting over 6.5 assists in five of his 11 games this season. Indiana has been good at limiting transition this season, with 13.8 fastbreak points per game (7th of 30), so expect Barrett to focus on pushing the pace on Monday night.

One of the NBA’s more unheralded players, Toronto Raptors guard-forward Ochai Agbaji, has made tremendous strides this season as he makes a dark horse claim for Most Improved Player. He’s been a knockdown shooter from three-point range this season, and in what projects to be an up-and-down game against the Pacers, Agbaji’s shooting prowess will be on full display.
Posting career-highs in points and shooting this season, Agbaji is averaging 13.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 threes per game on 52.2% from the field and 44.3% from three-point range. While he struggled from the field overall in his last match, Agbaji still posted 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three made threes on 38.5% shooting and 37.5% from beyond the arc.
Agbaji has hit over 1.5 threes in nine of his fourteen games this season. Indiana is solid at defending the three-point line, but given the attempts they allow and Agbaji’s willing shooting tendencies, expect the Raptor guard to remain on point from three-point range.
