Despite the controversies surrounding the Knicks’ Game 1 victory over the Indiana Pacers, they’ve now won back-to-back games and have an opportunity to go up 2-0 in the series. At the same time, they’ve been hampered by another injury to big man Mitchell Robinson. The defense-averse Pacers project to allow them the same scoring opportunities.
Through the 2023-24 regular season and postseason, the Knicks have posted a 55-34 win-loss record. That gives them a 61.8% win percentage on a 4.3 margin of victory and a +2.1 ATS +/-. New York has won three of its last five games and two of four matches with the Pacers through the 2023-24 regular and postseason.
When Game 2 tips off, the Knicks will be without Julius Randle (Shoulder), Mitchell Robinson (Ankle), and Bojan Bogdanovic (Foot/Wrist) due to injury. Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (Shoulder) has been out since March 9th and will not return this season.

Jalen Brunson has been one of the NBA Playoffs’ biggest stars since the First Round. Setting records with his scoring pace, Brunson has been a deadly option from inside and outside the three-point arc. Brunson’s shooting will be the focus when he faces the Pacers on Wednesday.
Through the 2024 NBA Playoffs, Brunson has averaged 36.6 points, 8.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 threes per game on 44.3% from the field and 30.0% from three-point range. In his last game, a Game 1 victory over Indiana, Brunson put up 43 points, six assists, six rebounds, and one three on 53.8% from the field.
When Brunson takes on the Pacers in Game 2, he is a -105 to hit 3+ threes. Brunson has hit three or more threes in three of his seven Playoff games and 37 regular-season appearances. The Pacers are certain to try to limit Brunson in the paint after his Game 1 outburst, so count on the Knicks star to find his range in Game 2.

Pascal Siakam was brought into the Indiana Pacers team to gain the championship experience needed to help them through the postseason. Siakam, a 2019 NBA Champion, has been steady for the Pacers and will need to improve his output when he takes on the Knicks in Game 2.
Through seven playoff games, Siakam has averaged 21.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.0 threes per game on 54.15% shooting and 28.0% from three-point range. In Game 1 against the Knicks, Siakam put up 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, and one three on 50.0% from the field.
Siakam is a -125 to score 20+ points in Game 2 against the New York Knicks. He has scored 20 or more points twice in seven postseason games and 45 regular-season appearances. While Siakam will have his hands full with Anunoby checking him, the Pacers forward will undoubtedly benefit from New York’s top shot blocker being unavailable to protect the rim.
