The Dallas Mavericks had faith in their offence and it paid off in Game 4 against the Warriors. Not only were they able to knock down their three-point opportunities, but they weren’t outworked by Golden State on the glass.
The Mavericks shot 46.5% from three-point range in Game 4, converting on 20 of their 43 three-point field goal attempts. Only two Mavericks players who saw the court failed to convert on a three-pointer.
Dallas’ ability to score threes and compete on the glass helped them to win Game 4. By winning the rebounding battle 45 to 42, the Mavericks stayed competitive offensively. To win Game 5, the Mavericks need to maintain their shooting efficiency and fight on the glass.

The Dallas Mavericks were able to hold off the Golden State Warriors by winning Game 4. Once again, Luka Doncic was brilliant, helping to push the pace and establish the tone for the Mavericks through all four quarters.
Doncic posted a line of 30 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in 37 minutes per game. He was willing to get on the glass and push the pace himself, allowing the Mavericks to play with speed and find better shot opportunities.
As talented as he is on the offensive end, the easier Doncic can make it for his teammates, the better. If Doncic can continue to push the ball up the court and find opportunities for his shooters, the Mavericks have a great chance at another win.
The Golden State Warriors got a taste of their own medicine in Game 4 against the Mavericks. To take down Dallas and send themselves to the NBA Finals, Golden State need to re-establish themselves in the paint.
When the Warriors are aggressive going to the rim, they open up opportunities for their shooters. The Warriors were only able to convert on 10 of their 28 three-point field goal attempts, with 4 of their ten makes coming in the fourth quarter.
The Golden State Warriors can’t be complacent in Game 5. If they want to beat the Mavericks, they need to push the pace from the tip and create good opportunities for their shooters. If they’re happy to settle in the halfcourt, Dallas’ defence will be more comfortable.

The Golden State Warriors are looking for more consistent production from their stars. While Stephen Curry has carried the load for the Warriors, second star Klay Thompson must be aggressive to keep the Warriors competitive.
In Thompson’s Game 4 performance, he posted just 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting. He was just 2 of 6 from three-point range, showing much less aggression on offence than in previous outings.
One of the Warriors key offensive threats outside of Stephen Curry, Thompson needs to have an active role in the Warriors game plan. Shooting just 29.2% from three-point range, Thompson needs to get back on track.
