The Los Angeles Lakers are missing a few key options, but they proved that their interior game can overcome even the toughest of defenses. Unless the Warriors can race past the Lakers early, we can’t see Los Angeles dropping this game.

The Los Angeles Lakers are missing out on a few key players, which harmed them through the majority of their last match against the Indiana Pacers. To beat the Warriors, they need to establish themselves early.
The Lakers only won one quarter in their last match against the Pacers. Luckily for Los Angeles, Myles Turner sat most of the fourth and they were able to outscore Indiana by 13 to win the game.
The Warriors’ defense is tough, so getting off to a good start won’t be easy. The Lakers’ three-point shooting was off in their last game, so they’ll want to find good perimeter opportunities early to take this match.
The Golden State Warriors pulled off a victory in their last matchup with the NBA-leading Utah Jazz. A big reason why they were able to take down the Jazz was because of their all-around effort.
Against the Jazz, the Warriors reserve unit posted 51 points on 21 of 34 shooting from the field. Being able to support the starting five, who only had three double-digit scorers, was critical for the reserves in their pursuit of a victory.
They’ll need a similar effort against a capable defensive team in the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams are excellent at slowing the pace, so getting additional scoring from the bench is important to keep pace with the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers need all the help they can get with key men Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol sitting out due to health concerns. Luckily in their last game against the Pacers, Kyle Kuzma stepped up his game.
Against the Pacers, Kuzma contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds on eight of 18 shooting from the field. He led the Lakers in scoring off the bench, as usual scoring options Dennis Schroder and LeBron James were off the mark in that match.
Kuzma’s scoring will be needed again against the Golden State Warriors. With an in-form defensive unit in the Warriors, the Lakers will happily accept every scoring option they can get.

The Golden State Warriors usually put the spotlight on star guard Stephen Curry, but it was Draymond Green who starred due to his defensive prowess in their last match against the Utah Jazz.
In his last match, Green posted an impressive 11-point, 12 rebounds, and 12 assist triple-double – not discounting his four steals in the match as well.
Green will need to put up another herculean defensive effort to take down the Lakers in this matchup. If Green can organize the Warriors’ defence and limit the Lakers’ chances inside, they may have a good chance against the shorthanded champions.
