The Miami Heat are coming off of an impressive win over the Boston Celtics in Game 3. Despite their win, Miami lost star forward Jimmy Butler to injury and his status for Game 4 is still questionable. To take down the Celtics, Miami needs to make up for his absence as a team.

Between Adebayo, Tucker, Strus, and Lowry, the Heat found 75 of the team’s 109 points. However their bench struggled to be efficient. Oladipo, Herro, and Vincent, who were a combined 6 of 23 from the field for just 16 points, need to improve on their scoring efficiency.

To take down the high-powered offence of the Celtics, with or without Butler, Miami needs to keep up in the scoring department. Their playmaking has been on point, which needs to inform their just 32% shooting through the series.

Despite star forward Jimmy Butler leaving Game 3 early, big man Bam Adebayo stepped up to carry the Miami Heat to victory. He had one of his most productive games of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, and he’ll need to perform similarly to put the Heat up 3-1.

Adebayo posted 31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block in Game 3 of Miami’s second round series against the Boston Celtics. He was more aggressive than ever, shooting 15 of 22 from the field, even attempting a three-point field goal.

More of a finishing threat, Adebayo’s offence will mostly come from the playmaking of the Heat as a team. However after the success against Al Horford, expect Adebayo to take on a bigger role in the offence.

How Can the Celtics Beat the Heat?

The Boston Celtics have shown their inexperience through the 2022 NBA Playoffs. If they hope to beat the Miami Heat and level the series, they need to clean up their play on both sides of the court.

The Boston Celtics are clearly thrilled to have a backcourt player as skilled as Jaylen Brown available to carry the offensive load when starman Jayson Tatum is struggling. Brown found success from everywhere on the court, adding a new wrinkle to the Celtics’ offensive threat.

In 41 minutes of play Brown posted 40 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. He was a very efficient 14 of 20 from the field and 9 of 12 from the free throw line.

Brown was able to hunt mismatches as well as take advantage of his teammates’ excellent ball movement. With an opportunistic offence, Brown can make a massive impact. His offence shouldn’t come at the expense of his teammates.
