The New York Knicks will certainly be up for this game against the Atlanta Hawks. It's one of their hottest rivalries in recent memory, with the Knicks winning seven of their last ten regular-season meetings with the Hawks. When they host the Hawks in this game, The Knicks will be up against a team desperate for a win.
The Atlanta Hawks won their earlier meeting with the Knicks this season, finding a win off the back of their tremendous scoring potential. They scored 112 points to New York's 99 while shooting 41.1% from the field and making 12 threes on 35.3% shooting. The difference was their rebounding ability, earning 17 offensive boards despite losing the overall rebounding battle.
The Hawks will be shorthanded without Collins and Hunter in the lineup, but they've shown it's no real detriment as they've out-rebounded their opponents in their last three games. Against the Knicks' inefficient scoring offense, the Hawks should be able to outpace the Knicks in this matchup.

When the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks face off, it'll be a matchup between two of the league's less efficient offences. While both teams have shown the ability to score the ball, they're also both in the bottom half in terms of scoring defence.
On the season, Atlanta averages 114.0 points per game on 46.7% shooting from the field and 32.7% shooting from three. On the other side of the court, the Knicks average 113.6 points per game on 45.4% shooting from the field.
Neither team are incapable of defence, but they both have their weaknesses. New York have the advantage in terms of size, but the Hawks definitely have the perimeter influence. With the Hawks and Knicks clearing 232.0 just ten and nine times respectively this season, they shouldn't be expected to do so in this matchup.
