The Utah Jazz are in fine form and have a beneficial schedule ahead of them. While the Memphis Grizzlies are individually intimidating, their team defense is nothing to be concerned with from Utah’s point of view.

The Memphis Grizzlies have a tall task ahead of them when they face the Jazz. One of the league’s premiere two-way teams, the Grizzlies must put on the pressure early.
The Jazz are an incredibly consistent team, but they’ve shown that they are vulnerable when they can’t control the glass. Utah average 42.0 rebounds and lose the overall rebounding battle in losses. Versus in wins where they win the rebounding battle by an average of 10.4 per game.
Fifth overall in the league in rebounding, the Memphis Grizzlies have the personnel to give Gobert and Whiteside a hard time. If they find success on the offensive boards as well, where they are third in the league, the match could quickly turn in their favor.

The Grizzlies are coming off of a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In their hopes for a bounceback victory, the Grizzlies need their young star Ja Morant to lead the way.
In his last game, Morant failed to make an impact. He posted 11 points and 5 assists on a conservative 3 of 9 shooting from the field. He was a team-low minus-31 from the field.
In what will be a difficult game for Memphis, Morant needs to be the offensive impact that the Grizzlies know he can be. He certainly can’t be passive, for his own sake and that of his teammates who rely on his playmaking.
The Utah Jazz can’t get complacent against the Grizzlies. If they get a rhythm pushing the pace, the Jazz could get run out of the building.
The Memphis Grizzlies aren’t the best defensive team, but they’re quite good at scoring at the rim. However due to their relative inexperience in the backcourt, they struggle to take care of the ball at times.
The Grizzlies average 14.4 turnovers per game in losses versus 11.9 in victories. Usually allowing penetration to herd players toward their shot-blocking ace, the Jazz will need to get aggressive on the perimeter to ensure a victory.

The Utah Jazz are coming off of a win over the Sacramento Kings. They were dominant on both ends of the court, especially with the interior dominance of Rudy Gobert.
The French international posted 21 points and 14 rebounds on 8 of 12 shooting. While he faces off against the Grizzlies, Gobert should still be the best big man on the court.
Not known as a strong three-point shooting team, Gobert will be taking point on paint protection as he usually does. If he can set the tone early, they can stifle the Memphis Grizzlies’ offence.
