Few believed the Milwaukee Bucks would find the success necessary to reach the Emirates NBA Cup Finals this season. After a dreadful start, the Bucks topped Group B to reach the Quarter-Finals, overcoming a hobbled Orlando Magic team. They then defeated the underdog Atlanta Hawks to book their ticket to the Final.
In their Semi-Final match against the Atlanta Hawks, the Bucks came on late to secure victory. A 28-19 fourth quarter saw Milwaukee hold Atlanta at 31.2% from the field and 25.0% from three, sealing their place in the final against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard combined for 57 points, 20 rebounds, and 16 assists on the night.
