Caesars Sportsbook Review 2024 - $1,000 First Bet on Caesars OR $250 in Bonus Bets With Promo Code WSN1000

Caesars Sportsbook went live in 2021 nearly 3 years after many big-name competitors had already left their mark on the industry. They’ve done a great job of playing catch-up with the likes of BetMGM and FanDuel thus far. 

For my Caesars Sportsbook review, I signed up, claimed every bonus I could find, tested out all the bets and features, made deposits and withdrawals and more. I’m covering my entire experience here.

I’m giving you an inside look at the latest Caesars Sportsbook NY promo codes. In addition to describing what each Caesars Sportsbook promo is offering, I’m going into detail as I explain the steps I personally took to claim all their bonuses.

Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code: WSN1000

WSN has an exclusive Caesars Sportsbook promo code, WSN1000, which you’ll need to claim one of their welcome offers. Yes, they have two welcome offers, and to claim either one, you’ll have to enter the promo code during sign-up.

It’s the very first step in the sign-up process. Right below where you enter your email, you’ll see a field labeled "Promo Code (Optional)." This is where I entered our WSN1000 promo code. Once I finished the sign-up process, I got to choose between the two promo offers.

Caesars Sportsbook Promo - Up to $1,000 in Bonus Bets

To kick off this Caesars Sportsbook review, I claimed one of its welcome bonus: up to $1,000 Bonus Bet if your first bet loses. Here’s how to get it:

First up, I used the Caesars Sportsbook promo code WSN1000 when I signed up. You can use our links to get the code automatically added, or else type it in manually on the first screen of the signup process. 

Once my account was up and running, I headed to the Deposit section in my Account. To trigger the bonus, you need to deposit at least $10, which is what I did. Finally, I placed my first bet on the men’s 200-meter Olympic gold medal race. Noah Lyles didn’t manage to get the job done, so I lost my $100 qualifying bet. 

Exactly 28 hours later, I noticed a $100 bonus bet had been added to my account. 

There are some additional terms and conditions to be aware of with this promo. First up, the most you can claim with this bonus is a $1,000 bonus bet. The bonus bet comes as a single token, so you can’t split it up into multiple smaller bets. 

If you win with a bonus bet, you only get to keep the winnings. The value of the stake is not returned to you.

You have 30 days to place your first wager after signing up with our Caesars promo code. Once you’ve received your bonus bets, you’ll have 14 days to use it on any event. There are no odds restrictions on your bet and no additional wagering requirements attached to your winnings.

While this is a great offer for anyone ready to make a large single bet as soon as they sign up, I do wish Caesare would provide some kind of bonus for players who win their first wager. At the moment, you only get a bonus if your first bet loses.

I do appreciate that Caesars’ chief promotion is available in all their legal states right now. As a New Yorker, I know from bitter experience that some sportsbooks (like BetMGM for instance) tend to exclude NY users from their welcome bonuses.

Caesars Sportsbook Promo - Up to $250 in Bonus Bets

The second Caesars Sportsbook promo offer is worth up to $250 in bonus bets. Now, since you can't have multiple accounts I had to enlist a help of a fellow sportsbook expert. Together we went through the process.

Just as for the previous promo we had to sign up using WSN1000 promo code. Once we finished the signup and the account was up, we had to deposit $10, and place a $5 bet on any market. We got two stacks of $25 in bonus bets. Very important to note, you can't combine this bet with any other bonus offers or tokens.

Now, you may notice that this falls short of the $250 promised in the promo. That’s because you need to place a subsequent $5 bet each week in September, with each week running from Monday to Sunday. For every one of those bets, you’ll receive another two stacks of $25 bonus bets. So, we placed an additional $5 bet to get the extra $50 in bonus bets for Week 1 of September.

All that’s left to do now is wait for the upcoming weeks and place a new $5 bet to get the additional $50. According to the T&Cs, if you miss a week’s bonus, you won’t be able to claim it, but you’ll still be able to claim all the upcoming bonuses.

All the bonus bets you receive during this promo are valid for 14 days.

The good news is that even if you sign up at the end of September, claim this promo, and place a qualifying wager before the promo expires on 9/17/24, you’ll still be eligible to claim it in the following weeks. I’m glad Caesars didn’t exclude latecomers from joining in, though I still find the promo offer to be unnecessarily complicated.

Refer Your Friends 

You can refer your friends to Caesars Sportsbook and receive 5,000 Reward Credits for each qualifying individual. After I read through their Terms & Conditions, I saw that I could refer up to ten friends and receive a maximum of 50,000 Reward Credits. 

While you’re logged in, click “My Promos” and look for an icon called “Refer Your Friends.” Click the “More Info” tab underneath to copy your referral link. You can also share it on social media.

Each qualifying friend must deposit and wager at least $50 on sports or casino games. Once his or her wager settles, you’ll both score 5,000 Reward Credits. You can exchange Reward Credits for bonus bets. Hundred Reward Credits is worth $1 in bonuses, so you’re both getting a promo worth $50 in a roundabout way. 

To test out this offer, I sent my referral link to a friend who was happy to sign up and bet $50. It took a couple of days after their bet had been settled, but I eventually saw 5,000 extra Reward Credits in my account. According to Caesar's terms and conditions, it can take up to a week for the Credits to arrive. 

Caesars Rewards Program 

I’m a huge fan of Caesars Rewards, the loyalty program that spans both Caesars Sportsbook and Caesars Resorts around the country. It means you can not only claim Caesars' sports betting bonuses but also earn all kinds of perks and benefits at hotels and luxury resorts, all based on your spending on Caesars products. 

Caesars Rewards is based around two types of credits: Rewards Credits and Tier Credits. You earn both at the same rate any time you spend real money, either online at Caesars Sportsbook or at most in-person Caesars retail locations. 

The rate at which you accumulate both Credits depends on the activity. For instance, you’ll get 10 Rewards Credits and 10 Tier Credits for every $100 wagered on straight bets (odds -300 or longer). If you wager $100 on a parlay (odds -200 or longer), you’ll get 20 Reward Credits and 20 Tier Credits.

Reward Credits are Caesars’ comp currency, which you can spend in all kinds of ways on Caesars’ products. They can be converted into bonus cash in the sportsbook (at a rate of 100 credits to $1.00 USD), used to pay for hotel stays or dining's, or at Caesars’ retail partners. 

Tier Credits determine your Tier Status, which is basically your level within Caesars Rewards. Each level unlocks new benefits, both online and offline.

As soon as you sign up with Caesars Sportsbook, you’re automatically assigned a Rewards Number and entered into Caesars Reward program.

Every player starts as a Gold member, and even the bottom rung of the ladder comes with some impressive advantages. I saw that I was eligible for a $5 bonus bet during my birthday month. I could get discounts at lots of hotels and restaurants, as well as pre-sale access to concert tickets. 

I was surprised to see that I’d enjoy a free night in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, or Reno for every 5,000 Tier Credits I earned. I could also earn Reward Credits at 25,000+ local eateries if I happened to be in the area. 

Earning 5,000 Tier Credits would boost me to their Platinum tier, which comes with a $10 bonus bet each month. Platinum members enjoy complimentary valet parking at Caesars’ destinations, a 10% discount on Norwegian Cruise Line vacations, and a free two-night stay in the Bahamas. 

You’ll reach Diamond status once you’ve earned 15,000 Tier Credits, become a Diamond Plus bettor at 25,000 Tier Credits, and become a Diamond Elite bettor at 75,000 Tier Credits. Their final “Seven Stars” tier is invitation-only, but you must have 150k Tier Credits as a prerequisite.

Here’s what the view looks like from the top of the mountain. Seven Stars members will receive a $150 monthly bonus bet, up to $250 in UberEats credits, a vacation at any Caesars Rewards Destination complete with $1,200 airfare, and a free, seven-day cruise in a balcony stateroom. 

Perhaps the most special perk of being a Seven Stars member is bringing someone along for the ride. A “Seven Stars Companion Card” lets you pick one person to share your VIP status. 

I don’t have enough room to explain all the benefits of leveling up the ranks at Caesars, but they boast the most comprehensive and rewarding VIP program I’ve seen offered by any sportsbook. 

Profit Boost 

During my review, if you wagered up to $10 on a same-game parlay involving any men’s or women’s Olympic Basketball events, you could claim two 25% profit boosts that can give you up to $200 in additional winnings. 

There was a minimum odds restriction of +400, and you had to utilize your profit boosts in 7 days. You’ll find profit boosts nestled in your virtual “Bonus Drawer” after you add a qualifying wager (same-game parlay) to your bet slip. 

This is a classic example of the kind of ongoing promos that Caesars offers, depending on what is happening in the world of sports. This specific offer is probably expired by the time you are reading this, but you can expect to find similar bonuses if you open up the My Promos section.

Odds Boosts

Caesars has a special section in the betting menu for odds boosts, showing all the bets that have received enhanced odds from a range of different sports. It gets updated every single day, and it’s a great way to find a little extra edge. 

The boosts can be parlays or SGPs too and I found they were useful for giving me some inspiration for my own bets, even if I didn’t always take advantage of them. I found myself checking this section every day during my week of testing.

Caesars Sportsbook User Experience 

Caesars Sportsbook offers a fluid, beginner-friendly interface on desktop and mobile devices. I didn’t have any trouble finding their latest odds, accessing boosted bets, creating parlays from scratch, and swapping between categories. 

After I created a new account and logged in with my credentials, I was sent to their homepage. I initially found a search bar at the top-left corner of my screen. Clicking “My Promos” brought me to their bonuses, and I was able to get in touch with customer support using live chat and email. 

I could even change my preferred odds from American to fractional using their Odds Settings, which is a nice touch and makes the experience feel more personalized. Lastly, I viewed their responsible gaming tools and settings by clicking “Responsible Gaming.” 

Going down the page, I liked having all their sports categories listed in the left sidebar. The latest odds boosts are viewable at a glance via the top menu row. 

I noticed a scrollable list of Quick Pick Parlays near the middle of my screen, but it was easy for me to create parlays with just a few clicks. Whenever you select odds to wager on, they appear in your Bet Slip on the right side of the screen. 

I was glad that I could separate my Open Bets from my previously settled wagers, clearing up some confusion that can occur when you’re placing a lot of bets at the same time. 

I noticed that scrolling down Caesars’ homepage showed me their most popular sports categories by default. I found fluctuating odds for Olympic Women’s Basketball, Olympic Men’s Basketball, Olympic Men’s Soccer and the PGA Tour Wyndham Championship, to name a few.

I clicked the profile icon at the top-right corner of my screen to make deposits, receive payouts, and adjust my preferences. 

I was able to view my playable sportsbook balance, bonus balance, account information, referral link, responsible gaming options, and customer support options. There’s also a button to log out. 

At the very bottom of my screen, I discovered a series of important links in their website’s footer. 

I pulled up their chat feature, Help Center, Terms & Conditions, and a feedback form via the left column. I chuckled when I saw that I’d been logged in for 160 minutes, and I’d like to see hours instead of doing mental math. I saw the time and date of my previous session next to the timer. These are simple features, but they are important for keeping bettors accountable for the amount of time spent online.

Caesars Sportsbook Mobile App

I wanted to see how Caesars’ mobile experience compared to my overwhelmingly positive UX on desktop, so I searched the App Store to download “Caesars Sportsbook” on my iPhone 13. 

After installing the app, I logged in with my username and password. Their app didn’t throw me any frustrating curveballs in terms of navigation or search features. I had no issue transitioning between their desktop and mobile platforms. 

I found all the same odds, Quick Pick Parlays, and traditional sports categories listed at the top of my screen. I also saw a new category called “FireBets.” I didn’t see this on their website, so I clicked it out of curiosity. While it’s an exclusive option for mobile bettors, I didn’t see any upcoming events. Even so, this feature sounds interesting and I’ll be keeping a close eye on it. 

Their “My Promos” tab has moved to the bottom menu row, and their collapsible bet slip is next to it. I enjoyed fast loading speeds, placed one-tap wagers, and had a fantastic time using their mobile app. Caesars Sportsbook guarantees an equally entertaining experience on both fronts. 

Caesars Sportsbook Features 

Caesars doesn’t offer quite as many unique features as competing platforms such as BetMGM, but they manage to stand out from the crowd by doing the basics extremely well. Odds boosts are an everyday occurrence, and their pre-built parlays are a great touch, especially for beginners. 

Before I jump into the more advanced features, it’s important to state that Caesars has a deep menu of different betting markets for dozens of sports. The list gets updated all the time, too, depending on what is happening in the world of sports.

Live Betting

I clicked “Live” at the top-left corner of my screen to see which categories support in-game bets. 

I was disappointed to see that Caesars doesn’t offer live streaming for any popular events. While not the best live betting site, Caesars sportsbook does offer live betting options.

The number and range of in-game betting markets are subject to change depending on what time you decide to place a wager. I was presented with 31 live bets centered around Olympic swimming.

I chose Hungary’s Kristof Rasovszky to win a gold medal for the men’s 10km marathon event. I watched my odds change from +160 to +175 back to +150 as the event continued. I decided to lock in a $10 wager, which would pay me $25 if it was a winner. 

I would have liked to see event statistics, but I couldn’t find any other information as I navigated their live betting section. While my options were limited, checking their live bets in the afternoon is a great way to expand your horizons with numerous categories and dozens of “in-game” bets.

Boosted Odds

Caesars Sportsbook has earned something of a reputation for its already-competitive odds. If you want to maximize your winning potential, their Odds Boosts won’t steer you wrong. I clicked “Boosts” at the top of my screen to get a closer look. 

I discovered 31 boosted bets covering MLB games, NFL events, golf tournaments, UFC fights, and auto racing. Caesars’ best odds boosts are displayed front-and-center.

I couldn’t pass up +2200 odds on a two-legged bet with MLB players Anthony Santander and Adley Rutschman. I decided to wager $10 on the outcome for a potential payout of $230. 

I was able to see the amount of time left before each boost expired, and all their boosts have a maximum wager limit of $100. Just like their available in-game wagers, odds boosts are posted whenever a major event is coming up. Their categories change depending on what’s in-season. 

MLB Parlay Builder 

As I scrolled down the homepage at Caesars Sportsbook, I stumbled across their MLB Parlay Builder. You can navigate to Caesars MLB Parlay Builder using the top row of sports categories.

I was able to pick which players would hit a home run. I could also bet on the combined number of bases, hits, RBIs, strikeouts, and outs for the Los Angeles Angels and Washington Nationals. In the interest of demonstrating full functionality, I put together a two-legged same-game parlay. 

I chose Jo Adell of the Los Angeles Angels and Travis Blankenhorn of the Washington Nationals to land a home run. Both players would have to succeed in their endeavors if I were to maximize Caesars’ +3000 odds. The Parlay Builder works for all 19 sports categories featured on the site. 

Quick Pick Parlay Bets 

If you don’t feel like creating your own parlay, you can select premade parlays based on popular picks from various sports bettors. “Quick Pick” parlays are lined up in a row toward the middle of the screen. They even strategize catchy names for each three or four-legged parlay that’s listed. 

I like that each pre-built parlay tells you exactly how much you’d need to wager in order to win a certain amount. I decided to splurge on their “Triple Threat” Quick Pick Parlay at +700 odds. I’m a WNBA fan in my free time, so I was excited to see Brittney Griner shoot fireballs at the basket.

Regardless of how unlikely Caesars’ parlays might be, it’s nice to have something at the ready if you’re not keen on building your own bets. Their Quick Pick Parlays change on a dime, so keep a close eye on their homepage if you’re looking to wager on a specific upcoming sporting event. 

Casino & Poker 

Caesars’ Sportsbook has a separate, downloadable casino app called “Caesars’ Palace Online Casino.” As one of the world’s most recognizable brands, they don’t disappoint with 750+ slots and tens of realistic tables. If you ever need a break from betting on sports, it’s worth installing. 

Horse Racing

Caesars’ racebook app is available for iOS and Android devices. They cover the latest odds for more than 300+ popular tracks, including Monmouth Park, Finger Lakes, and Yonkers Raceway. 

You can wager on horse racing events in CA, CO, CT, FL, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MA, MN, MT, NY, ND, OH, OR, PA, VA, WA, WV, and WY. Even though their regular sportsbook app doesn’t offer live streaming, you can watch races and replays unfold in high-definition on their racebook app. 

Caesars Sportsbook Deposits & Withdrawals 

Caesars Sportsbook has a versatile banking menu, fast withdrawal speeds, and accessible minimums for deposits and payouts. I noticed an option to deposit with Apple Pay exclusively on the Caesars Sportsbook app. PayPal and Venmo are easily accessible on desktop and mobile. 

Caesars Sportsbook Deposits

As a New Yorker, I wasn’t able to use my credit card to top up my account. Due to state regulations, Caesars doesn’t allow users from Iowa, Tennessee, New York, and Massachusetts to use credit cards. 

Discover debit cards are also not available in Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts and New York, again due to state regulations. 

I made an initial deposit with my VISA debit card and I’m explaining how I added funds to my account.

I first clicked the profile icon at the top-right corner of my screen. Next, I clicked the Deposit tab. 

I was taken to Caesars’ payment screen. I saw that I could transfer funds to my balance with an online banking account via Trustly, deposit with VIP Preferred, use Play+ or pay with cash using PayNearMe at participating locations. I clicked “Debit Card” to continue. 

I entered my full name as it’s listed on my VISA card. I then entered my card number, filled out the card’s expiration date, and disclosed my three-digit CVV code. I typed “$100” in the amount bar and clicked “Continue” to proceed. Lastly, I clicked “Submit” to confirm my $100 transaction. 

I received my $100 immediately after clicking Submit.

Caesars Sportsbook Withdrawal

Requesting my first withdrawal at Caesars Sportsbook was similarly easy. I was able to win $20 after a couple of bets. 

I went back to my profile settings and clicked “Withdraw” to proceed. I saw that I could use my PayPal, Venmo, or an online banking transfer via Trustly. I opted to proceed with Trustly, and I chose the corresponding method from their withdrawal screen. 

I was prompted to log into my online bank account with my username and password. I then got a notification asking how much I wanted to withdraw. I entered “$20” and completed my 2FA as requested by the bank. I then clicked “Request Withdrawal” and got my winnings two hours later. 

I happen to bank with Chase, which is one of the institutions that allows for same-day funding at Caesars Sportsbook. However, bank transfers can take between 1 and 5 business days to clear. 

Caesars Sportsbook Payment Methods Comparison 

I drafted a comparative table showing different sportsbooks payment and withdrawal methods, highlighting how Caesars Sportsbook compares with BetMGM, FanDuel, bet365, and BetRivers.

Let’s take a look at what’s on the menu: 

Caesars Sportsbook Customer Support 

I wanted to evaluate Caesars’ customer support availability, so I clicked the “Support” tab at the top of my screen. I saw three options for live chat, email ([email protected]), and their comprehensive Help Center. I clicked on “Live Chat” and was sent to a separate page. 

I selected “New York” from the drop-down menu before entering my first name, last name, email address on file, and Caesars Rewards Number. If you want to see your Rewards Number, you’ll find it located in the email you received from Caesars Sportsbook immediately after signing up. 

Once finished, I clicked "Submit,” and I was directed to an AI chatbot going by the name of Betty.

I clicked “Account” and was directed to another menu, so I typed “Representative” in the chat bar. I was connected to a live agent named Ricardo immediately so this seemed to do the trick. 

I inquired about verifying my account. I was satisfied with the speed, quality and accuracy of the responses he gave. He was helpful in explaining what documents I’d need to complete Caesars’ KYC procedure. Next, I sent an email to [email protected] about their bonus. 

I wanted one of their agents to explain exactly how their first bonus bet insurance works. I got a return email from someone named Sean 12 hours after sending an introductory message. Sean succinctly informed me that I’d need to place a bet of $10 or more to qualify for their promotion. 

I was hoping to find a phone hotline of some kind, but I had no such luck. Lastly, I read through their Help Center. I was impressed by the range of information it covers. I was able to find more details about making payments, verifying my account, claiming promos, and using their limiters. 

There’s also a section explaining their House Rules and a link to their Terms and Conditions. I was relieved to see that I could get in touch with a real person 24/7 via live chat and/or email. 

Caesars Sportsbook Responsible Gambling 

I clicked “Responsible Gaming” at the top-right corner of the screen while logged in. 

There I saw five tabs allowing me to change my gaming limits, request a “cool-off” period, self-exclude, read more information about their approach to responsible gaming, and view my RSG history at a glance. 

When I clicked on “Gaming Limits," I was redirected to the following screen. I found options to set up daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits, spending limits, and time limits. After opening the drop-down menu, I found that I could set my deposit limits to as little as $100 or as much as $10,000.

Their “Spend” limits come with the same $100 to $10,000 range on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Lastly, Caesars’ time limits start at one hour and go up to 24 hours in hourly increments. I was more than satisfied with their self-served, responsible gaming tools. I then clicked “Cool-Off.” 

I was informed that I could temporarily restrict access to my sportsbook account. I was able to take a break for as little as 3 days or as much as 30 days. Most sportsbooks feature the same restriction periods, but Caesars stands out from sites like BetMGM with customizable daily increments. 

You can’t take a 4-day break at BetMGM; you’re stuck with 3 days or a week. I like that Caesars Sportsbook gives me the ability to request a break for 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days, or any specific length of time up to 30 days. 

If you want to restrict access for a longer period of time, you’ll need to request a self-exclusion.

I liked having the choice to self-exclude strictly from Caesars Sportsbook or from all sportsbooks in the state of New York. Self-exclusions must be implemented for at least a year, but they go up to 3 years, 5 years or indefinite. Going down the list, I clicked “Information” to read their policies. 

They explain how to use their responsible gaming tools and how to set up self-exclusion in New York. If you wish to return to the platform, they will discuss how to submit a reinstatement letter. There’s a mandatory 30-day wait time before a self-exclusion from Caesars Sportsbook can be reversed.

Where is Caesars Sportsbook Legal? 

Caesars’ Sportsbook is currently operating in 21 US states, Washington D.C., and even Puerto Rico. They don’t accept signups from any outlying US territories or countries. I gathered a list of all the Caesars Sportsbook legal states: 

How to Sign Up for Caesars Sportsbook 

I was able to sign up with Caesars Sportsbook in five minutes. It’s one of the easier registration processes I’ve documented, and I’m explaining the steps I took for beginners. I’m showing you how to create a new account, initiate your first deposit, and verify your identity for withdrawals. 

1. Create a new account: select your state from the drop-down menu and click “Bet Now.” I live in New York, as you can see below. 

2. Enter personal details: enter your email address and type in the Caesars Sportsbook promo code “WSN1000” when prompted. Once finished, click “Next” to proceed. 

Create a new password on the next screen. Enter your mobile phone number and click “Next.” If you’re ever in a jam, you’ll be able to use your mobile number to reset your forgotten password. 

Click “Next” to start verifying your personal information with Caesars Sportsbook. 

Enter your first name, last name, date of birth in MM-DD-YYYY format, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). Click “Next” to continue. 

Enter your current home address and click “Next.” It should match the address on your driver’s license or state-issued ID card. 

Click “Submit” to agree to the Caesars Sportsbook Terms of Service. 

By clicking “Submit” you’re also certifying that you’ve provided accurate information, that you’re 21+ years old, that you’re the only person who will be using the account, and that you’re not a casino key employee (or otherwise prohibited from wagering in your state). 

On the next screen, you’ll receive a notification that your account creation was successful. Click “Deposit to Get Your Bonus.” 

3. Make your first deposit: Choose your preferred payment method from the following screen. I used my VISA for the sake of time, so I’ll be explaining how to make deposits with a debit card. 

I clicked “Debit Card” from the payment screen. 

Enter the amount of money you’d like to deposit. In my case, I entered “$10.”. Next, type in your card number, three-digit security code, and expiry date. Tap “Continue” and “Submit” to finalize the transaction. 

I received my $10 deposit immediately after refreshing the webpage, so there was no delay. 

4. Complete Caesars’ KYC: from the homepage, click “Account” while logged in.
