Before betting on the 76ers and the Raptors game, take note of the injury list. The 76ers are missing key contributors in Paul George and Joel Embiid, while the Raptors have listed RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley as game-time decisions. The lack of availability makes this match less predictable, as both teams will need to go deeper into their bench than expected.
This wager is very dependent on who is available for both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors in this matchup. The 76ers have definitively listed Emiid and George out of the lineup until October 30, while the starting Raptors backcourt of Quickley and Barrett are listed as game-time decisions.
Last season, the 76ers defeated the Raptors four times by an average margin of 11.7 points. They dominated Toronto, averaging 121.0 points while converting on 14.3 threes per game. Tyrese Maxey led the way for the 76ers in that matchup, averaging 28.3 points on 55.2% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range.
While both teams expect to be shorthanded, the 76ers depth projects to be much more reliable than the Raptors. If Toronto’s backcourt duo can return to the court, it may be a different story. But for now, the 76ers get the edge in overall quality and depth.

Despite Toronto’s poor play last year, Scottie Barnes was a bright spot for the Raptors in what was a disappointing season. He’ll aim for redemption after struggling in his first game of the season, now facing a 76ers team that will pull out all the stops to contain him.
In Barnes’ season opener, he put up nine points, six rebounds, and five assists on an abysmal 21.4% shooting from the field. It’s a credit to him that he can still produce six boards and five assists on an off-day, but he’ll need to be fully focused on taking on the 76ers.
Last year against the 76ers, Barnes averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in three appearances. Expect a big night from Barnes, as the 76ers are lacking their main interior and perimeter defender in Embiid and George. When he gets to the paint, the 76ers have no one who can contain him, and Barnes has a lot to prove after his opening night struggles.

As expected, Tyrese Maxey has been a bright spot for the Philadelphia 76ers. With Embiid and George unavailable, Maxey was given the keys to the offense on opening night, and he didn’t disappoint. He’ll look to reign in his efficiency against the Raptors, but they boast a defense that has allowed Maxey regular success.
In the 76ers’ season opener, Tyrese Maxey played almost 40 minutes while posting 25 points, six rebounds, and two threes on 32.5% shooting on the night. In his three games against the Raptors last year, Maxey averaged 28.3 points while hitting 11 of his 22 three-point attempts during their regular season series.
A deadly three-point shooter, Maxey projects to clear 3.5 threes against the Raptors, as he did twice against them last season. Toronto gave up 14 threes on 46.7% efficiency in their home opener, which bodes well for the sharpshooting Maxey.
