NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Bam and Murray in for Big Nights, Plus an SGP with Devin Booker

My NBA prop picks are crushing this week, and I’ve got a selection of player prop bets for Friday’s games you want to hear.

We cashed a pair of risky bets yesterday, Coby White under 4.5 assists for plus-money and Malik Beasley under 3.5 threes against the terrible Washington Wizards. The best performance of the day belonged to Luka Doncic, who had 45 points and 11 rebounds but could only watch as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Los Angeles Lakers by 20 points.

The Lakers are back in action against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, while the Cleveland Cavaliers will meet the Memphis Grizzlies in a battle between top teams from both conferences.

Here are my favorite NBA prop picks from the Friday slate.

Best NBA Prop Bets for Friday, March 14

Bam Adebayo Over 10.5 Rebounds (+108) at FanDuel

Adebayo averaged 10 rebounds per game and went over this line in four of his last six games, two of those coming against strong rebounding teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. He also had 12 rebounds when he played the Boston Celtics just over a month ago in Boston.

The Celtics are 14th in rebounds allowed per game and 16th in rebounds allowed to opposing centers per game. The Heat are riding a five-game losing streak and need to turn in a solid performance, and the defending champs should have the full attention of their team and players.

Tari Eason Under 14.5 Points (-130) at FanDuel

Eason averaged 11.8 points per game and went under in five of his last eight games despite having a strong couple of months scoring the ball. He was promoted to the starting lineup in the aftermath of Amen Thompson suffering a sprained ankle, but this is still a high line for him to clear.

Eason put up eight points in 30 minutes the last time he faced the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 8. Granted, that was a much different Dallas team than the one that has been playing, but Eason is not a high-volume shooter and doesn’t have a strong precedent going over when he’s hot, so a return to normalcy should see him go under.

Max Strus Under 3.5 Assists (-138) at FanDuel

Strus went over in his last game but still went under in seven of his last nine games, one of those being a Feb. 23 matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies during which he handed out three helpers. He’ll face the Grizzlies again in FexEd Forum, where the home team is 24-10.

The Grizzlies are typically below league average in assists allowed per game, but that has more to do with their pace of play and less with their defense, which held opponents to the sixth-lowest field goal percentage. Strus is not a born playmaker and likely will not change his instincts amid a trend of going under.

Franz Wagner Under 23.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel

The German forward put up 27 points on 64.7 percent shooting last night and has been impressive scoring the ball as of late, though he still went under in three of his last four games. He’s also about to take on the stifling defense of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are 11-0 in their last 11 games with Julius Randle on the floor.

The Wolves conceded the sixth-fewest points per game and seem to be hitting their stride, while Wagner’s scoring average decreased by 1.4 points per game on the road. Wagner also shot the ball worse away from home and is about to run into a team full of long and physical defenders, limiting his natural ability to find mismatches.

Jamal Murray Over 20.5 Points (-122) at FanDuel

Murray made six threes and shockingly only finished with 19 points the last time he met the Los Angeles Lakers in a 23-point home loss. The Lakers could be down three starters, including LeBron James, and are on the second night of a back-to-back amid a brutal stretch that will see them play 10 games in 14 days.

The Lakers had been awesome defensively in recent months, but the injuries and building fatigue are going to severely limit their ability on that end of the floor. Murray also had a few explosive nights in recent weeks and typically loves to torture the Lakers.

NBA Same-Game Parlay (+281) at FanDuel

-Sacramento Kings at Phoenix Suns (-3)

  • Devin Booker 4+ rebounds: Went over in four of his last six and is playing close to 40 minutes per game in March.

  • Domantas Sabonis under 12.5 rebounds: Likely won’t play more than 30 minutes in his first game back from an injury and went under in back-to-back games before he was injured.

  • Zach LaVine 20+ points: Went over in seven of nine games and leads the league in points per isolation possession, while the Suns allowed the second-most points per game over the last month.
