Fred VanVleet is out with an ankle injury, but Holiday still only played 14 minutes in his last game. Granted, he registered three assists, but there’s a stark difference between the lowly Brooklyn Nets and the defensive-minded Minnesota Timberwolves.

Holiday went under this line in nine of his last 11 games and only had one assist the last time he faced the Timberwolves. Amen Thompson’s stellar play as of late should grant him the majority of the point guard minutes, and Holiday should struggle to go over this line against a team that allowed the fifth-fewest assists per game.

Myles Turner Under 14.5 Points (-113) at FanDuel

Turner has been in and out of the lineup with an ankle issue (and, in all likelihood, some trade talks), and went under this line in three of his last five games. He’s having a career year from three but isn’t taking all that many shots, only putting up eight in 30 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Turner and company are preparing to take on the Los Angeles Clippers, who allowed the third-fewest points per game and sixth-fewest points to opposing centers per game. LA was also embarrassed by the Los Angeles Lakers its last time on the court, and we expect them to bounce back and play with palpable intensity.

Jamal Murray Under 1.5 Threes (+134) at FanDuel

Murray is having a strange season. His numbers are very similar to the ones he posted in recent years, but he’s been less efficient and hasn’t had the same impact on winning basketball games. He averaged two made threes per game on 35.7 percent three-point shooting, his worst percentage since the 2019-20 season.

Murray’s poor shooting from range is also clearly in his head, as he only took two three-point attempts last night and did not make either one of them. He’s 2-16 from three over his last four games and went under in eight of his last 10, which makes this an enticing pick.

Derrick White Over 15.5 Points (-111) at FanDuel

The Dallas Mavericks could start Anthony Davis for the first time, which would give them a theoretical lineup of Davis, PJ Washington, and Daniel Gafford all in the frontcourt. That means that Boston is going to need to vacate the interior and do even more damage from the perimeter than it already does.

White went over this line in five straight games and put up 23 points the last time he saw the Mavericks. Dallas’ interior defense should be stellar, but it will be tough for them to match the speed of Boston’s ball movement and to totally lock down their three-point barrage.

LeBron James Under 9.5 Assists (-125) at FanDuel

The Lakers have been one of the best teams in the NBA over the last couple of weeks and are potentially one game away from adding both Luka Doncic and Mark Williams to their starting lineup. However, we can’t expect them to continue playing at their current level, and the departure of several starting players means LeBron could be more of a scorer than a facilitator.

The King went over in his last three games against the Golden State Warriors but under in 12 of his last 17 games overall. The Warriors also have Draymond Green back in the lineup, while the loss of Andrew Wiggins should once again give LeBron an easier path to work as a scorer rather than a passer.
