As the dust settles on the trade of the century that saw Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis swap teams, the NBA is back in session with a number of high-profile matchups on Tuesday.
Trae Young won Monday night with a game-winning shot near the buzzer against the Detroit Pistons, while Amen Thompson’s 25-point triple-double wasn’t enough to overcome NJalen Brunson’s 42 points and 10 assists in a six-point loss.
Here are our best NBA betting picks for Tuesday.

Russell has pretty consistently gone over, not under, this line, cashing 6+ assists in eight of his 11 games as a member of the Brooklyn Nets. So why, you might ask yourself, are we looking at him under 5.5 assists on Tuesday night? Here’s why.
Russell only dished out three assists in his last game against the Houston Rockets, whom he’s facing again tonight. The Rockets also allowed the fewest assists per game and will be on fire after their narrow loss to the New York Knicks last night, which puts D’Lo in a prime position to go under.

With Kel’el Ware manning the more traditional center responsibilities, Adebayo has been granted some rare flexibility on the offensive end. He gave out nine assists in two of his last three games and went over in exactly six of his last 12, showing a positive trend toward more assists.
The Miami Heat are taking on the Chicago Bulls, a team that allowed the second-most assists per game and ranks 23rd in assists allowed per game to opposing centers (though Bam is functioning as a power forward). The Bulls also just allowed four assists to Jalen Duren, who averages 2.3 assists per game, their last time on the court.

Luka Doncic averaged 8.3 rebounds per game. So what does it mean when a strong rebounder in the backcourt is no longer employed? It means that there are more rebounds available for guards who, like Thompson, usually wouldn't get those opportunities.
Thompson went over this line in three straight games and even had five rebounds in just 18 minutes in the Dallas Mavericks’ last game. They’re also about to take on a Philadelphia 76ers squad that is bang-average in rebounds allowed per game, and we like the value for this line.

Mitchell had a dip in three-point efficiency recently. He only made two threes in his last outing and shot 35.7 percent from three in January, his worst percentage for a month this season. He also took 11 threes both times he played the Celtics, though he only went over once.
Although Mitchell was more efficient shooting the three at home than he was on the road, the Celtics should approach this game with extreme intensity as they look to re-stake their claim as the best team in the Eastern Conference. Boston also allowed the fifth-fewest made threes per game.

The Lakers don’t have Anthony Davis or Max Christie, which means their only source of rim protection and their best point-of-attack defender are gone. That should prove to be a major issue in the pick-and-roll, where both of these weaknesses can easily be exposed by a player with Harden’s scoring and playmaking qualities.
Harden recorded double-digit assists in six of his last eight games and had 12 assists in his only matchup with the Lakers this season. The purple and gold will be riding high after their road win against the Knicks and following the trade for Doncic, which gives Harden a solid runway to get over this line.
