NBA Player Props and Best Bets for January 30: Fade Ja Against the Rockets, Garland Ready to Shine?

The NBA has almost taken full control of the sports spotlight, and we’re here to share our best NBA player prop bets for Thursday night.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had his second career 50-point game in as many weeks but shockingly couldn’t help lift the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Golden State Warriors, while Jalen Brunson’s 30 points and 15 rebounds helped the New York Knicks dispel the high-flying Denver Nuggets.

Here are our best NBA bets for Thursday.

Best NBA Player Props Today January 30

Best NBA Prop Bets for Thursday, January 30

Darius Garland Over 2.5 Threes

Garland is having the best season of his career for the best team in the Eastern Conference. He went over this line in six straight games and made 3.1 threes per game on 42.1 percent shooting in 2025, which puts him in a great rhythm ahead of his matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.

Garland split the over/under with five and two made threes in two games against the Hawks, both of which took place at the end of November. He averaged three made threes on 42.5 percent shooting, while the Hawks allowed the second-most threes on the fourth-worst percentage in the league.

Ja Morant Under 34.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists

Morant went under this line in four straight and in 11 of his last 13 games, and in two of three matchups with the Houston Rockets this season. Granted, he went over the last time he saw them, but he also played an uncharacteristically high 37 minutes and took a season-high 24 shots in that game.

The Rockets are second in assists, fifth in points, and eighth in rebounds allowed per game. They fell to 14th in points allowed per game in 2025 but remained in the top two in assists and rebounds allowed per game, and we expect Morant will have a tough time against a stingy bunch.

Kyshawn George Under 11.5 Points+Rebounds

George, well, he tries. He may develop into a strong contributor in the future, but this rookie averaged 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game on an abysmal 34.7 percent shooting from the field and 27.8 percent from three, neither of which has gotten much better as the year progressed.

George went under in seven straight and in nine of his last 10 games. He had eight points and two rebounds on 28.6 percent shooting when he faced the Lakers on Jan. 21, and he dropped 10 points and one rebound on 40 percent shooting last night. The Lakers are third in rebounds and fifth in points allowed per game in January.

Jaden McDaniels Over 17.5 Points+Rebounds

McDaniels is currently enjoying his best scoring month of the season, averaging 12.7 points and 6.6 rebounds on 52.6 percent shooting from the field and 41.4 percent from three-point land. He went over this line in 10 straight games and played 34.1 minutes per night in January, by far his most of any month.

McDaniels’ strong play and extra opportunities have a great chance to continue on Thursday as Donte DiVincenzo remains out with a toe injury and Naz Reid continues to battle an illness. Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz are good on the boards but allowed the third-most points per game.

Deni Avdija Over 16.5 Points

If you haven’t paid attention to what Deni Avdija is doing for the Portland Trail Blazers… start. He put up 30 points on 55.6 percent shooting in his last game against the Milwaukee Bucks and is up to 18.9 points per game on 50.6 percent shooting in January.

Avdija went over this line in 11 of his last 16 games and gets to take on the Orlando Magic who, despite allowing the fourth-fewest points per game in January, also allowed opponents to shoot 49.7 percent from the field, the second-highest mark in the league. He’s shot the ball extremely well as of late and has a golden opportunity to stay hot.
