There’s officially been one full week since the start of 2025, and our NBA player props are starting to heat up.
LaMelo Ball and Devin Booker both dropped 30-point double-doubles in a showdown between two of the league’s best guards and in a matchup won by the Charlotte Hornets, while Russell Westbrook’s vintage performance was not enough for the Denver Nuggets to take down the Boston Celtics.
Here are our best NBA player prop picks for Wednesday.

Johnson is set to play more minutes than usual due to injuries to D’Angelo Russell, Cam Thomas, Cam Johnson, and others ahead of him in the rotation. But despite going over this line in four of his last eight games, that doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to find his way to the over.
For starters, Johnson also went under in four of his last eight. He shot 36.3 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from three and is about to face a Detroit Pistons team that ranks ninth in points allowed to opposing guards per game. Johnson only scored five points in 13 minutes in his previous matchup with the Pistons and still didn’t shoot 50 percent or better from the field in five straight games.

Wemby has proven throughout his career that he gets up for matchups with the best players in the league, as recently evidenced by his back-to-back showdowns with Nikola Jokic. Now, after going over in seven of his last 10 games, he gets to take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard in a nationally-televised matchup.
Wemby took 9.4 three-point attempts per game and has been fairly efficient as of late. The Milwaukee Bucks are 16th in made threes allowed and 22nd in three-point attempts allowed to opposing centers, and Brook Lopez is far more comfortable playing drop coverage near the rim than he is extending out to the three-point line.

The one-time New York Knick-turned Toronto Raptor only played six games this season and went under this line in four of them, including his last outing against the Bucks. He averaged 2.5 rebounds per game and is playing with a very tall lineup around him, which limits his chances to crash the glass.
The Toronto Raptors are facing a Knicks team that ranks fifth in rebound rate and second in rebounds allowed to opponents per game. The Knicks are 11.5-point favorites, and the Raptors are only 1-15 on the road, so there’s a chance this turns into a blowout and Quickley doesn’t get to play his usual amount of minutes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s big man went under this line in three straight and in six of his last seven games. He’s shot the ball efficiently, but he just hasn’t taken all that many shot attempts and likely won’t against a Cleveland Cavaliers’ lineup that features two seven-footers in the frontcourt.
The Cavs rank eighth in points allowed to opposing centers per game and ninth in points allowed per game as a whole. Their matchup with the Thunder will likely turn into a defensive-driven matchup, and we don’t see Hartenstein taking over the scoreboard.

LaVine, who had a strange start to the year, finally found his groove. He stopped passing up common short opportunities and has been much more aggressive as of late, which is why he scored 32+ points in three straight games and in four of his last five outings.
The 29-year-old is about to face the Indiana Pacers, who are 22nd in points allowed per game. LaVine already dropped 32 points on the Pacers on Dec. 6 and is poised for another strong performance now that he took at least 20 field goal attempts in three straight games.
