The NBA is here to celebrate New Year’s Day with an exciting slate of games, and we have the best betting picks to close out 2024.

The Cleveland Cavaliers blew out the Golden State Warriors last night to improve to an astonishing 28-4, while the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets tied an NBA record for most missed threes in a game.

While many will have their eyes glued to the College Football Playoff, we’re keeping it locked on the hardwood. Here are our best player prop picks for Tuesday.

Best NBA Prop Bets for Tuesday, December 31

Devin Vassell Under 26.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-128) at FanDuel

Vassell had a great game against the Minnesota Timberwolves his last time on the court but found himself under this line in four straight games just before that. He also went under this PRA line in seven of his last 10 games and averaged 15.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in December.

The San Antonio Spurs are taking on the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank fourth in rebounds and fifth in points and assists allowed per game. The Clippers also play at the slowest pace in the league, which means there will be fewer opportunities to go around.

Mason Plumlee Under 10.5 Rebounds (-115) at FanDuel

The Phoenix Suns are down Jusuf Nurkic, which means that Mason Plumee is set to step into the starting lineup. While that might lead many to believe that he’s destined to go over this line, he actually went under in five of eight and five of his last six games without Nurkic in the lineup.

The Memphis Grizzlies are battered and bruised and will play a heavily-rotated lineup, but their depth should allow them to be competitive regardless. They’re just about league-average in rebounds allowed per game and will have a variety of young players who don’t often get chances on the floor and who should bring a higher level of intensity than even the starters would.

Jaylen Brown Over 29.5 Points+Rebounds (-120) at FanDuel

Browns went over this line in four straight games and was excellent in three of those, averaging 33.3 points during that stretch. He averaged 24.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the season as a whole and could see extra minutes with Jrue Holiday out and Kirstapos Porzingis questionable.

The Toronto Raptors give up the fifth-most points per game and rank 16th in rebounds allowed per game.  Brown went over in his only previous meeting with Toronto this season and in all but one of their seven meetings since the start of the 2022-23 campaign.

Ivica Zubac Over 14.5 Points (-120) at FanDuel

Wemby this, Wemby that, let’s stick with the facts. Victor Wembanyama is an outstanding shot-blocker and rim deterrent, yet the Spurs are 27th in points allowed per game to opposing centers at 19, well above the league average of 16.3.

Zubac is having himself a stellar season and went over this line in three straight games as part of a 15.4-point season average. He also had 17 points to go with 13 rebounds when he and the Clippers took on the Spurs on Nov. 4.

Khris Middleton Over 13.5 Points (-115) at FanDuel

Middleton regained his form in recent days, scoring 21 points in three straight games and going over this line in five straight. That’s after he went under in four straight games immediately after he returned from an injury, which suggests that he could be transitioning back into his usual self.

The Milwaukee Bucks are facing the Indiana Pacers, who rank 22nd in points allowed per game and 30th in points allowed per game to opposing small forwards. We like Middleton, who shot better than 50 percent from the field and from three in four straight games, to continue his upturn against a soft defense.
