Adebayo is known as one of the best defensive centers in the sport, but he went under this line in four straight games and failed to get more than seven boards in his last two games. He’s also tasked with such a large defensive responsibility that he’s often not in position to dominate the glass.
The Miami Heat’s big man played the Orlando Magic twice this season and recorded five and six rebounds in those games. The Magic allow the fewest rebounds per game in the NBA and have been even better in December, outperforming their season average by 2.8 boards per game.

Bridges has been very consistent on the glass. He went over in three straight games and four of his last five, and he’s 9-3 to the good since the start of November. He also snatched eight rebounds in his only previous matchup with the Washington Wizards on Dec. 19.
The Wizards are ninth in field goal attempts per game but only 27th in field goal percentage. That means that they will take a lot of shots, but they will also miss a ton of them, leading to an increased amount of rebounding opportunities.

Ivey found his shooting touch recently, going 38.7 percent from deep in December and clearing this line in four straight games. He also went over in nine of his last 11 games and averaged 2.0 made threes per game on a nice 38.4 percent from deep.
Ivey and the Detroit Pistons are taking on the Sacramento Kings, who allowed their opponents to shoot 37.5 percent from deep (28th) and to make 14.6 threes per game (also 28th). The Kings also have problems sustaining their defensive effort in longer possessions and should give Ivey a platform to go over this line.

Claxton struggled to get himself on the scoresheet recently and went under this line in five straight games. He only averaged 9.3 points per game for the year and split the over/under in two meetings with the Milwaukee Bucks at one game apiece.
The Bucks climbed to seventh in defensive rating in December, largely because of the improvement in their paint defense. They also rose to 10th in points in the paint allowed per game in December and have plenty of size to throw at Claxton, who shot just 14.3 percent from the field in his last game.

Smith Jr. averaged 12.1 points per game but went over in five straight games (and had 13 points in the game before that streak). He shot the ball well from three for two months straight and is getting one of the most favorable matchups there is on Thursday.
The Houston Rockets are taking on the New Orleans Pelicans, who are 25th in defensive rating and points allowed per game. Smith Jr. dropped 15 points on 54.5 percent shooting in his only meeting with the Pelicans on Dec. 19 and has a clear path to cashing another over.
