Caldwell-Pope is having a terrible year shooting the ball, maintaining standards of just 39.6 percent from the field and 29.1 percent from three. He also went under this line in five straight games and only averaged 7.6 points per game in December.
Traditional wisdom would suggest that KCP would score more points with both Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner out injured, but in reality, opposing defenses will just have more resources to throw at him and won’t be forced to give him as much space. That should lead to him going under his line, especially against an angry OKC team that has the best defensive rating in the sport.

Irving went under this line in five of his last seven outings and only averaged 20.4 points and 4.4 assists in December. He’s been remarkably efficient thus far, but he also isn’t taking as many shots as he did in most other years of his career due to the presence of Luka Doncic, Klay Thompson, and others.
Irving and the Dallas Mavericks are going up against the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank fifth in points and seventh in assists allowed per game. He only played one team with this type of defense over the past two months, the Thunder (twice), and both times went under this line.

Beal averaged 17.8 points per game and went over this line in six of his last eight outings. One of those was in his last game against the Orlando Magic, who allowed the fewest points per game of any team in the NBA.
Beal shot the ball well this year, going 49.3 percent from the field and 36 percent from deep. He and the Phoenix Suns are also taking on the Indiana Pacers, who allow the joint-fifth-most points per game. Beal played one team that allowed a similar amount of points per game, the Utah Jazz, and scored 24 points.

A reigning NBA champion, Tatum averaged a career-high 9.0 rebounds per game, including 10.8 in the month of December. He went over in four straight games and 10 of his last 12, which puts him on comfortable ground heading into Thursday’s matchup with the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls play at the second-fastest pace in the league, which naturally leads to more rebounding opportunities. Fittingly, they allowed the third-most rebounds per game, which means that Tatum will have a clear path to adding another over to his total.

Edey, the reigning two-time college national player of the year, averaged 7.1 rebounds in 20.4 minutes for the Memphis Grizzlies. He went over this line in four straight games and in nine of his last 10 outings, including his last game against the Los Angeles Lakers, when he had 10 boards.
At 7-foot-4, there aren’t many people in the league who can challenge Edey on the glass. That includes the personnel of the Golden State Warriors who, despite being great at gang rebounding, are fairly small. Edey already had nine rebounds in 23 minutes when he played the Warriors on November 15.
