Brunson only went over this line one time in five games in December, but the In-Season Tournament offers an opportunity for him to take over in a playoff-like atmosphere. He also averaged just 31.6 minutes per game this month and should be in line to play significantly more on Wednesday night.
The Hawks gave up the third-most points per game, and Trae Young does not have the necessary skill set or body dimensions to slow down Brunson. The Hawks-Knicks rivalry runs deep, and Brunson is in a spot where he can step up and be the hero for not only his team, but his city.

Capela went under this line in seven straight games and played just 22.7 minutes per game, his fewest since his sophomore season in 2015-16. The Knicks’ defense got noticeably better over the last couple of weeks, and they allowed 14.3 points per game to opposing centers (seventh) for the year.
Although Capela scored 18 points on 8-8 shooting in his only previous matchup with the Knicks this season, he could struggle to deal with their spacing as an old-school big. If he does, he’ll likely be subbed out prematurely for more capable perimeter defenders, resulting in him having fewer opportunities to score the ball.

Smith Jr. is far from the most consistent player in the world, but he went under this line in two of his last three games and only scored five points in his last matchup with the Warriors on Dec. 5. He also averaged 11.5 points per game over the course of the season.
The Warriors allowed the sixth-fewest points per game and only gave up 93 when they last faced the Rockets. This is also an In-Season Tournament elimination game, so defense should be at a premium for both teams with a spot in the semifinal on the line.

The well-loved Hart averaged exactly 5.5 assists for the season and tends to hang out right around this line. He went under in back-to-back games but also went over in the two games before that and recorded eight assists in the Knicks’ Nov. 6 matchup with the Hawks.
Atlanta ranks 23rd in assists allowed per game and, as we mentioned, gives up the third-most points per game. New York’s offense has been sensational as of late, and Hart is great at setting the table for his teammates. The Hawks are also 22nd in fastbreak points allowed, which means Hart should be able to run in transition.

Wiggins dropped 23 points on the Rockets just a couple of days ago, but there’s reason to believe he’ll take a step back on Wednesday. He averaged 17.2 points per game for the season overall, only scored 11 points in his last outings, and is dealing with an ankle injury that could leave him limited or less than his usual self.
Wiggins shot nearly seven percent worse on the road than he did at home and went under in three of his last five outings. He’s also going against a Rockets defense that is second in defensive rating, gives up the third-fewest points per game, and held the Warriors to 99 total points a week ago.
