The NBA In-Season Tournament is bacon Friday as teams around the league compete for one of the limited spots available in the knockout portion of the competition.
The entire Association was out of action on Thanksgiving, meaning that the league’s best and brightest should be all systems go for their return to action. The day starts with the New York Knicks taking on the Charlotte Hornets and finishes with a pair of West-Coast matchups, including the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Russell averaged 11.8 points for the year and averaged 16.5 points over his last two outings, but he had a four-game stretch of single-digit scoring just before that and is about to face an OKC team that maintained the best defensive rating in all of basketball.
The Thunder play a very active style on offense, one that Russell may struggle to cope with on the defensive end. That would likely lead to him playing fewer minutes than usual, but even if he’s on the court, the Thunder’s outstanding defense should make it tough for him to get over this line.

Grizzlies coach Tylor Jenkins is playing a ton of guys in the rotation. Morant is obviously one of the players at the head of that, but his minutes are way down from where they have been in recent years and could lead to him being healthier at the end of the season, if everything pans out.
Although the star guard isn’t spending as much time on the court, he’s been allowed to play with unrelenting intensity and speed. The result is him averaging 9.3 assists and going over this line in six of his last seven games, including his last outing against the Portland Trail Blazers.

DiVincenzo has struggled to recapture the form he had with the New York Knicks, especially during the playoffs. His scoring average dropped to 8.9 points per game, and he scored eight total points in his last two games as part of him going under this line in six of his last nine games.
Once the most outstanding player of the Final Four, he shot just 34.8 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from three. He now gets to take on the Los Angeles Clippers, who hold their opponents to the sixth-fewest points per game.

Speaking of strong defenses, the Orlando Magic allow the second-fewest points per game and have one of the best defensive ratings in the league. That’s trouble for Finney-Smith, whose Brooklyn Nets have a date with Orlando on Friday.
The 31-year-old swingman averaged 10.7 points and scored single-digit points in his last two games. He’s also dealing with a nagging ankle injury, which should make it harder for him to score, and he doesn’t have the traits needed to break down Orlando’s defense by himself.

Is this the year that Cunningham finally makes an All-Star team? He’s been great thus far, averaging 23.5 points, 8.9 assists, and 7.2 rebounds, and gets to face an Indiana Pacers defense that allowed the sixth-most points per game on Friday.
Cunningham went over this line in his last two games and dropped 28 on the Pacers in their earlier matchup this season. Indiana is also 24th in two-point defense, which means Cunningham should get easy looks from his preferred spots on the court.
