The NBA is here to close out a frenzied week of action with several high-profile matchups across the league.
The big news of the first week and a change is that the Milwaukee Bucks are just 1-4 and in increasing danger of breaking up their core of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder are the only teams left yet to taste defeat.
We’ve assembled a list of our favorite NBA player prop picks for Friday’s games. Here are our best NBA prop bets today.

Johnson was a candidate for Most Improved Player last year and is still showing tons of promise, averaging 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 37.2 minutes per game. However, the 22-year-old has not yet displayed real comfort shooting the ball from beyond the arc.
Johnson’s best single-season three-point percentage came last year, when he made 35.5 percent of his attempts (below league average). He’s shooting 22.2 percent from deep this year and has not yet made more than one three in a game, while the Kings rank ninth in three-point defense, holding opponents to 33.8 percent from deep.

JJ Redick is playing his starters a ton of minutes. Whether that’s because he trusts them or doesn’t trust his bench, it’s led to Hachimura playing a career-high 34.2 minutes per night for an impressive Lakers team.
Hachimura is coming off of an eight-point dud against the Cavs, but he averaged 15.6 points and went over in all four games just before that. The Toronto Raptors are dead last in defensive rating and will provide the path of least resistance to the Lakers players on Friday night.

Grant, a 6-foot-7 swingman from Syracuse, has a regular over/under line of 3.5 rebounds—however, there’s real value on his alternate lines, seeing as he grabbed 6+ rebounds in two of five games and 5+ in three of five games thus far.
Although he only averaged 4.8 boards for the year and 3.5 in 2023-24, he has a favorable matchup with an OKC Thunder team that ranks 29th in rebound rate. He’s also taken more ownership of the boards to start the year and has a nice chance to add to his total.

The newly-crowned Olympic gold medalist is off to the best start of his career, averaging 19.2 points on an electric 47.4 percent three-point shooting for the 4-1 Boston Celtics. He went over this line four times already and, most impressively, hit the over in a game in which he did not make any of his six three-point attempts.
White is committed to getting up tons of shots and can act as a driver, pull-up shooter, or catch-and-shoot specialist. The Charlotte Hornets posted the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA and are 12th in three-point defense, which is not enough to suggest that they’ll slow down the C’s high-octane offense.

At 37, Conley is still giving a great effort to the Minnesota Timberwolves. That said, he’s showing signs that his age is catching up with him as he’s shooting just 27.3 percent from three-point land, well below the 44.2 percent he shot last year and 38.7 percent he posted for a career.
Conley is also playing 23.8 minutes per night, the fewest of his career. He went over in three of four outings, but the numbers show that he's vulnerable to the under, which will be exacerbated by the Denver Nuggets and their great three-point defense (32.1 three-point percentage allowed - sixth).
