Davis leads the NBA in scoring at 32.8 points per game and is shooting 55 percent from the field. He also took 12.8 free throws per game, a career-high, and has been ultra-aggressive as the Lakers’ offense flowed through him rather than LeBron James.
With that said, the Cavs’ frontcourt tandem of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley has given Davis problems in the past. The big man averaged 17.8 points per game in his five most recent matchups with the Cavs, only beating this line one time. Cleveland is also in the top half of the league for free throws allowed to opponents.

The Atlanta Hawks do not have a good defense (25th in defensive rating), and they allowed the eighth-most assists per game to their opponents. That should be a positive sign for Poole and the Washington Wizards, who they face on Wednesday, right? Wrong!
Poole has quietly gotten off to a nice start to the year, averaging 22 points and five assists on 51/62/100 shooting splits. But despite being in rhythm and total control of his offense, he failed to register more than six assists one time. He also only managed five dimes in Monday’s matchup with the Hawks.

Brown averaged 26 points per game on 41/39/82 shooting splits to start the year. His field goal percentage should be expected to increase as he shot 49.9 percent from the field last year, which can only bode well for his bottom line of scoring points.
The Pacers let Brown average 29.8 points per game in the Eastern Conference Finals last year and will struggle to defend him since they try to run players off of the three-point line, but he’s comfortable attacking mismatches in the mid-range and painted area. Indy is also in the bottom 10 for defensive rating thus far.

The New York Knicks’ new marquee center has not blended in well with his new teammates thus far. He averaged a career-low for field goal attempts and is down to 15.3 points per game after he averaged 21.8 with the Minnesota Timberwolves last year.
Towns’ went over this line in two of three games, but we bring up his scoring numbers to show that he isn’t comfortable with the offense just yet. The Knicks are also about to face a Miami Heat team that might be average in overall defense, but they allowed the second-fewest assists per game and have one of the premier defensive big men, Bam Adebayo, ready to shadow Towns.

Lost in the hype of Paolo Banchero’s outstanding 50-point near-triple-double is Wagner’s excellent start to the season. The 23-year-old averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 53.6 percent from the field, 44 percent from three, and 91.7 percent from the charity stripe, going over this line in three of four games.
Wagner’s three-point shooting likely won’t continue, but he’s confident and in rhythm on the offensive end. He also took 17 field goal attempts per game during the first three games of the season, which would be a career-high, before he left early with an illness in his last game against the Pacers.
