Tatum averaged 26.9 points during the regular season but has not had to put his foot on the gas in recent weeks, scoring less than 30 points in nine straight games dating back to March 30. He only hit the over once in the Boston Celtics’ series with the Miami Heat and is coming off a 22-point night on 6/16 shooting.
Kevin Love said that the Heat schemed a much better way to slow down Boston, who has a 2-1 advantage in the series. This Miami team has been the boogeyman for the C’s amid their championship aspirations for the past half-decade and produced the second-best defensive rating since the All-Star break, so they’ve earned the benefit of the doubt.

Holmgren had a tough time shooting the ball during the closing months of the season. He went just 26.7 percent from three-point land in March and 33.3 percent in April, and he only shot better than 43 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three one time in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s series with the New Orleans Pelicans.
The standout rookie scored 26 points on 9-13 (69.2 percent) shooting in Game Two but has not consistently hit that level much in months. The New Orleans Pelicans are still a strong defensive team, even if they have not made the series very competitive and trail 3-0. We expect to see Holmgren get close to 15 as he usually does but be kept in check by the Pels’ defense.

McCollum hit the over one time in three games in the series and is more focused on putting up as many shots as he can, having attempted an average of 19.3. The Pelicans also shot just 40.3 percent from the field, the lowest mark in the playoffs, along with 27.8 percent from three, which ranks 14th of 16 playoff teams.
The Thunder allowed the fewest points per 100 possessions (94.7) in the playoffs and totally dominated this series in nearly all facets. McCollum is a good player but seems to have no answers for the top seed in the Western Conference, and he’ll be hard-pressed to find his way to the over if his team continues to struggle from the field.

The Los Angeles Lakers are attempting to become the first team in NBA playoff history to recover from a 3-0 deficit. To make it even worse, they’re trying to accomplish the unprecedented feat against the defending champion Denver Nuggets, who will be back in their home arena in which they went 33-8.
Jamal Murray is questionable ahead of tip-off in Game Five, which should provide a sliver of hope for LA. LeBron James doesn’t have much left to accomplish in the basketball world but should give his best effort with another shot at history, though he only hit this line one time in four games thus far.

“The Joker” is averaging a 29-point triple-double in the series, yet he seems to have taken a relatively laissez-faire approach. He’s mostly deferred for large parts of the game even though the Lakers clearly have nobody that can shut him out, particularly once he gets the ball in the painted area.
As the leader of the Nuggets and the best player in the world, Jokic needs to send a message tonight and shut the door on the Lakers’ potential comeback. He could command even more shots if Murray’s calf prevents him from playing, which is why it’s worth taking the risk with him at this total.
