Booker averaged 27.1 points during the regular season, the sixth-highest amount amongst qualified players, but only managed 18 points on 31.3 percent shooting in a Game One loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He averaged 21.3 points across four regular- and postseason meetings with the Wolves, going under in three of the four games.
The Wolves’ defensive game plan appears to be to let Kevin Durant go one-on-one and do their best to shut off the rest of his teammates. Granted, Booker is still an all-world scorer, but Minnesota’s personnel and physicality have made it hard for him to find easy looks in any of their meetings thus far.

Reid is likely on his way to a first- or second-place finish in the Sixth Man of the Year voting and typically provides instant offense off the bench. He scored 12 points in just 19 minutes in Game One but only hit two overs in four meetings against the Suns with both unders coming earlier in April.
Reid’s size and spacing are tough for Phoenix to account for, especially if Anthony Edwards is going to put pressure on the rim while also knocking down his threes the way he did in Game One. Reid took 10 shots and six threes in his 19 minutes of action and should get enough volume to go over.
The 32-year-old former second-round pick only recorded four assists in a Game One win against the Indiana Pacers as Damian Lillard did most of the heavy lifting. On a night where Lillard isn’t scoring hot, Middleton should be able to get more involved and pull the strings of the Bucks’ offense, leading to a higher assist count.
Middleton finished the regular season by averaging 7.0 assists in March and 5.7 in April. The Pacers, despite defensive improvements, are still subpar on that side of the court and will struggle to keep Middleton away from his assists line, especially with the frenzied pace at which they prefer to play.

Who would’ve thought that Ivica Zubac would be the best big man on the floor in the Los Angeles Clippers’ Game One win over the Dallas Mavericks? While Washington and company were thoroughly outplayed, he still managed to grab seven boards and, more importantly, played 37 minutes.
The Clippers are not a great rebounding team (16th in rebound rate) and should not be able to dominate the interior the way they did over the weekend. Washington is going to see heavy minutes in this series because of his versatility, so he’s in a strong position to log another over.
Bet on P.J. Washington at FanDuel
The Los Angeles Lakers might not have beaten the Denver Nuggets nine straight times, but Reaves has played good individual basketball. The former undrafted guard averaged 18.0 points and 5.8 assists during those nine losses and could be in for a larger role if D’Angelo Russell struggles the way he did in Game One and in the 2023 Western Conference Finals.
Reaves only managed 13 points and three assists in Game One but performed well throughout the playoffs a year ago and should bring his A-Game into Monday’s matchup with the Lakers needing a road split before returning to LA.
